I submitted three bf/black .25 BTC lealanas earlier this year. They returned them unholstered without much explanation. These three coins have a laser edging on the hologram, which I believe was Smoothie experimenting with ways to provide additional security. The laser edging is rare so I assumed they were scared off by this. So, it looks like they are just being extremely cautious. I am working with Stacks Bowers to resubmit these.

Lealana BF black 0.1 PCGS slabbed

Unless they changed their minds. Seems to me slabbing bf coins would be a safe bet

Nobody really knows what PCGS is doing as they have not issued proper clarity. My coins were bf unfunded.

PCGS is not grading buyer funded LEALANA. If you send buyer-funded LEALANA to PCGS they will send you the coins back not in a slab and ungraded.

I have had two of my bf LEALANA pieces sent back to me from PCGS without being graded.

Thanks for sharing. I take it the two BF coins you sent were loaded?

Interesting. Do you know where/which PDF form you use for their crypto-submissions and costs etc?  Tongue

Thanks !

They grade lealanas and Casascius pieces and I think that’s it for now

I know they do, my question is more specific than that. Will they grade a coin labeled as "buyer-funded" if it was funded by the buyer?

I am aware so far they haven't been grading unfunded coins unless they were redeemed

Pretty sure their grading all Lealana and Casascius. I know that big auction last November at Stacks was a Lealana 0.10 graded by PCGS. It was a BF coin funded after the fact by a buyer

Thanks. So it was funded before it was sent for grading?

Any other instances of "buyer-funded" coins being graded by PCGS?
not sure.. just know it was marked bf. I think i have seen some others but not sure. Ill look and see what i can find.

Does anyone know if PCGS grades funded "buyer-funded" 2013 Lealanas?

I know they grade originally funded 2013 lealanas.
