1. Motherboards should have the ability to supply up to 75W through the pcie slot. I don't know if the mobo will supply that much power if there is external power available from a pcie 6 or 8 pin connector being used, but I would assume that it would prioritize external power over the pcie slot

2. No, but you can crossfire the same generation cards such as a 5870 and a 5830 together. I doubt a configuration like that would work very well for mining though.

1.

Lets say my 5850`s  draw each 170 W.  How much power is drained from motherboard, and how many power from extra power cables (2x 6 pin cables at rear)

I must bridge more psu-s and need this for calculations.


2. Can u crossfire different card series, ex. 58xx with 69xx etc.
