Any power supply over 450w or higher will do the job of powering one unit efficiently.  If you have the money try to get 80+ Gold.

Well, I don't care about the power consumption off the wall. I just want a fair working power supply that will power one overclocking Antminer S3.

I just want to power one, and I don't know what you mean 110v or 220v or expansion room.

I have a Corsair CX 500 Watt 80 PLUS PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027) that I bought new and used for about 2 weeks before getting a larger one to power more than one miner.  I'd sell it to you for 0.1BTC/$30 + shipping, pm me if interested.

How many S3's are you wanting to power?  Do you have 110v or 220v?  Do you want expansion room?

I use this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028

I OC my S3+ and it's doing 500 GH reliably with no downtime.

I am looking for advice for a good power supply for my Antminer S3. I am wishing to overclock the antminer and don't have much experience with power supplies either. The power supply I am looking at right now is an 800 Watt 12V and has 2 PCI-E connectors. Should I use this one, or one that someone can suggest?
