yes, if your miners/ ASICs are based on Scrypt. by the way, you need to have a certain web speed in order to work in litecoin network. make sure your PC is not gonna overload in the case, so i would also wish to ask the series of your PC.

he asked about gpu mining .  with an external gpu on a riser to the laptop's usb port

so the answer is no.


now if he wants to use an asic to a usb port  he can do that

Hello I was wondering if I could use an pci-e to 16x on a laptop, since it has a USB to USB port I was wondering if I could use it on my laptop for an external gpu set up for mining. I have a desk top with a power supply that could run it, but I don't have 2 cards that work together so I was hoping I could use it on my laptop, let me know if it's possible.
