Hi guys, can you tell the difference between this PCI-E expansions? As you can see in the image below one has a power connection and the other doesn't, which one will work better? I've seen some youtuber like Caleb using those with no power connector

The one you have linked is a USB3.0 expansion board...thus the need for power...as usb passes power.

The 1x4 pcie splitter do not require power as they use USB cables and connectors but are NOT USB.  They are carrying only data (no power) and work in most cases.  These are taking a x1 PCIE connection and using a plex (multiplex) chip to split it to 4 x x1 connections which is fine for most mining....you cannot exceed total bandwidth of x1 for all 4 connections but as stated this is fine for MOST mining.

This is the Chipal unit you want to split 1 to 4....

So both the images I sent are not for GPUs but ordinary USB 3.0 😳?? I'm glad I haven't ordered for them already, I though they will work straight up for graphic cards, thanks for sharing a light on this 👍
