bruhs, I am not a begginer, i have build some rigs before... everything is powered and connected, 2 risers for 1 cable, i have about 40x ver 006 riser so i tried different risers - not working, different gpu tested (i have brand new gpus)

Just out of curiosity, how do you plan on putting 4 cards into a motherboard that only has 3 PCI express slots?

it's 3x x1pcie + 1x x16pcie

ok UPDATE

it's probably something with drivers, I have changed cards and risers, the windows automatically installed the drivers and when I gave it back the riser ver 006 was working (when the gpu was connected before to ver 003/004s)

somehow i was testing it and finally got 4 cards working and installed, it was mining for about 5 min when the miner restarted itself and started mining again wit only 3 cards, ( after pc restart , there were only 3 cards again in the device manager fck....

yes, with windows and 4 nvidia cards it should all just work if you give the fresh install time to install the drivers

have you enabled 4g encoding,? need that shit for 4 gpu windows build

check connections, riser need PCIE AND molex/sata power daisy chained into your psu, dont put more than 2 risers on each chain

i will try that 4g encoding if i find soem guide

Edit: tried again and got Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) on the 4th gpu

If youve got new powered risers then you must power them. I tried using new risers without power and they didnt work.

No driver is needed. To test the riser, all you need to do is swap the riser with one that is working. When putting the card in the PCI-E slot of the riser, make sure it goes all the way in and is latched in place. If the card works, then you know the other riser is the problem. Also check the USB cable, some cables have the contacts too deep and they don't make a good connection.

Hello, I have just build a mining rig with 4x msi gtx 1060, ASUS H81M-P PLUS, Intel Celeron G1840...

I have used old risers for 2 cards and for other cards the new risers ver 006 from ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-3-0-PCI-E-Express-1x-To-16x-Extender-Riser-Card-Adapter-Power-Cable-50cm-HU1/311880768761?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Only the 2 cards with the old risers work, other cards aren't even in device manager... I have tried everything and it's deffinitelly something wrong with the new risers... But what? Do I need to install some drivers for it or what

Thanks for suggestions
