Well it's plain and simple, these two groups of people can't coexist and thrive together. One advocates for freedom when it comes to currency in a peer to peer market without banks and low fees (Bitcoin) while giving all of the power to the community. On the otherhand, Government is the main power player in the regulation of currency and they control their own currency (usually) so they're not going to want to lose the influence which comes with it.

They can coexist in a sense, but Bitcoin won't thrive under this coexistence.

There are different discussions about efforts of goverments to control, restrict or ban Bitcoin. It looks like there is some sort of confrontation between governments and the Bitcoin community. Could you suggest some forms of peaceful coexistence of governemnts and the Bitcoin community?
