Peercoin and NXT just can't find a floor... dropping and dropping and dropping...

Peercoin was lucky not dead because NU/NUBIT absorbed many resources from the community.

As we are currently discussing in Peercointalk, PeerAssets could offer two very important features that at this moment aren't featured in the whitepaper:

- Asset-to-currency trading: A special transaction type (a standard Peercoin transaction with asset metadata attached) would allow both Asset and Peercoin holders effectuate a trade without having to trust each other.
- Asset-to-asset trading: Would work very similar to asset-to-currency trading. Both parties agree a price and then sign a special transaction.

That all without having to modify Peercoin's code.

The second feature (asset-to-asset) is still not possible in some platforms like NXT.

PeerAssets can work on top of every cryptocurrency that is forked from Bitcoin and has kept a compatible codebase, which includes Peercoin, Litecoin and alike.

Peercoin is moving up and moving forward.

Thanks for the link to the whitepaper! I'm following this very closely, it looks really interesting, and I have already read the draft. It's until now the simplest mechanism I know for the creation of digital assets. But I must still dive a little more into the technical details.

And is not it better to create a separate official theme of the coin?

It's not a coin, it's a mechanism to create assets on the base of cryptocurrencies without an auxiliar currency (in contrast to, for example, Counterparty and Omni).

PS: Peercoin is getting interesting again, although I hope that 0.6 development will be a little bit faster than 0.5's.
