Edson Arantes Do Nascimento, dubbed Pele meaning soccer player was one of the greatest that football and Brazil ever produced, in my opinion.
He was given a hero's burial two days back at the Ecumenical Memorial Necropolis. It was gathered he wished to be buried at the ninth floor of a cemetery in his home country in respect of his late dad who wore 9 for Brazil. How touching!

Pelé and Maradona are two of the greatest players football has ever had.
It was remarkable that both enjoyed each other very much.
I remember reading his post about Maradona in which Pelé says he would like to play football with Maradona in the sky and now they are together.
They will keep the angels entertained.
It is sad that the football legends and greatests have kicked the bucket. I didn't watch the duo play but their video clips showed that they are wonderful.
Even if there were no much rules like off sides as of them they tried more than their colleagues.
We don't feel too bad because there is Messi and Ronaldo and we are already seeing Neymar, Mbappe etc.

man is mortal.  This is the cycle of life.  Pele is one of the stars of the football world who has given birth to hundreds of footballers.  He too was taken to him by God.  At the age of 82, he has seen great performances and his magic of feet has taken a place in the hearts of thousands of football lovers.  He has gone to the land of no return making people around the world cry.  And we must all go beyond.  We are only temporary in this world.

I remember hearing stories about Pele from the time I was a little kid at soccer practice.  I can't say I could pick him out of a lineup or name any of his accomplishments, but I'm aware that he was the greatest soccer player (footballer) of all time.  I don't think there will ever be another player who stood above the pack like he did as far as recognition, mostly because there are lots of well known players now.  I hope that his family is comforted by his legacy.  His name will live on for generations no doubt as the original greatest player of all time.

It is sad news for the world, especially football lovers. He was a legendary and very inspirational personality for many of us. His dedication and contribution to the game will always be unforgettable. I think the new generation of players must learn from the life and experience of the Great player of the past.

Yeah, I think the new generation players have a lot to learn from the life and experience of Pele. Humility is lacking amongst some of our so called star players today. Players who feel they’re stars and well sought after by various clubs would be proud and full of ego. Pele was none of that. Having won 3 World Cups, if anyone should have a proud shoulder, it should have been Pele.

Everyone who is alive will eventually die, whether they are young or old. What is more important is that everyone will reap what they have sown.
Pele passed away as a legend; he battled cancer for a long time before passing away from it.
With his feet, he played and inspired the upcoming football heroes, adding to the peace of the world.

He was still tremendously interested in football at the age of 82. to demonstrate his fervor for the sport of football.
The football community will undoubtedly miss him

Pelé and Maradona were finally able to play together in heaven. This is what Pele said on the day Maradona died, this is inevitable.
We have lost two world football legends, it's really a pity, but we are all human and cannot avoid the cycle of birth and death. Everyone will eventually die.
We have many stars and many contemporary football legends, but we only have 1 Pelé, 1 Maradona, and no one can replace their place in our hearts.
I hope heaven will have a soccer field where they can play together, we will never forget you two.

Pele is the most famous football legend of all time than any other Brazilian legend. Even though I wasn't born during the Pele era, his existence in the world of football until the end of his life became a very inspiring figure, especially for professional football athletes.

Even when he was in the hospital. he still makes time to watch the world cup events, even if only on television. that's how he describes his love for the sport of football. we as citizens of the world will feel the loss of one of the phenomenal figures from the world of football. I hope the family he left behind, willingly let him go in peace. the name Pele, will always be remembered for all time just like other legends like Diego Maradona. with this, I express my deepest condolences as a football lover.

may the legend, rest in peace.
that is so sad - everytime I hear about the legend passing away - the only thing which comes to my mind is they were so strong and ruled the heart of the people and the end is always dusk to dusk.
May God bless the departed soul

The important role Pele played in Brazilian football cannot be overemphasized and just as the only certainty in life is death, he had to bow to it's cold hand. In his honor, FIFA has taken permission from his family to keep his feet in the museum. A bit weird of you ask me.
A legend who inspired youngsters to continue persevering, when he won the world cup 3 times, is someone who should be given the best recognition. Rest on, Pele.

The world of football is in mourning as Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pele, one of the greatest footballers of all time has finally passed on at 82 years of age after a fight with cancer.
He lived a fulfilled life and was not stolen away quickly by untimely death which would have hurt the most. 82 is old age and many people do not even get to live up to that age. Most of us did not see him play but have always heard his name with football, He will be remembered by all as the legacy he left behind and record will always remain a reference in football for a long time. I wish his soul rest and his family strength during this time and period. Long live his memories.

I remembered osaka my best footballer, I love him so much, because he is always active in his defend, and I don't really know why the best always don't last long because it came to a sad story that his was injured on the last premier league, and he was taken to the hospital for surgery because he was having a neck bend that he didn't survive it, it was a really a bad news, and disaster to their tearm and fans, and his club most importantly, but we can't question God because God almighty is the only one who knows why everything happens in this world, when ever I thinks about osaka tears comes out of my eyes, because his the best player that I have ever met in my life, R I P to you osaka, may your soul continue to rest in peace, the most painful exist.

I have been asking myself a question always, why does young stars and good players die early in life, I remembered the world cup in last two years ago, it was super but it ended with a dead record of the best player of turkey, and season was bad and good at the same time, we always modified the energy giving to us, I couldn't believe that moses after playing his first world cup match, and planing of his last world cup match that will enable them for the final to qualify for the last two terms that will go for final and take the cup, we lost moses at the age of 25 years old, and him being the coach best player of the year, he died of cancer and this affected the couch to the extend that he gave up his life.

I couldn't explain the actual dead record that we have gotten from our best greatest players in this year, and it has gotten to the stage were we don't have to keep  silent this anymore, there had been a up coming plans for next year friendly match, and we have to keep on praying for our terms and players, we don't want any dead record among us anymore, after we lost mike last two months, and his just 19 years old, Mike has been the captain of his terms for 3 years now, and it's really hard to let go of mike in our heart because of his a hard working and good player that has magnetic field lines in his coach and make his club proud because his the best and highest goal scorer, in the description of opinion I pray for your type in our life in our world to come, and may you continue to rest in perfect peace forever, R I P to you Mike.

Something drastic has happened in Brazil and his soccer for losing a legend that has inspired and motivated so many youths in football. I could remember anytime we are arguing about who is the best between Messi and C.Rinaldo based on their achievement before the world came to pass, after all argument we will finally give the respect to Pele, due to the fact the he has won three world cups.

The world will not have a legend like him anymore because, these days there are too many young upcoming stars who are doing very great. Pele is a very popular man even more popular than some countries president, since football is the most popular sport in the world which don't need any resources before you start playing, just a small space and anything that can be used as football.

Pele of Brazil, football will miss you. R.I.P

I just heard about this news tonight, today the football lost a legend.
How ironic Pele died right after the victory of Argentina and right after the party celebrating the South American Football, this year is bitter-sweet for this continent in that aspect.

I read that during his last days, he had time to talk and say good bye to his family, which is something which is not always possible, because of the nature of death itself. Anyways, Rest in Peace. Pele. you had a good life.

I am a big fan of the Brazilian team, and I have high hopes for Mr. Tite's squad, hoping they can bring Brazil their 6th world championship as a final tribute to Pelé, but in the end that didn't happen. I saw the news today, and I am deeply saddened by his passing, even though we have known his health has not been good for a long time. But that is the life cycle of a person, no one can live forever. The world will never forget what you gave us. RIP, Pele.

Pele was a nickname given to him by his parents after an inventor. The real name of Pele is Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Pele (Edson Arantes do Nascimento) has won three (3) won consecutive world Cups. It is a sad news but he died at the age of 82 which is not bad in this dispensation.

May is soul rest in peace amen.

Pele was an icon. A beacon of hope for young people in Brazil and all over the world. While his health has been deteriorating, having fought cancer for the past year, it’s still a shock to hear that he has passed on. Pele is a legend in the world of football. With his impressive dribbling skills on the pitch and his record goal numbers, he brought a new and fun perspective to football.
He will surely be missed but would never be forgotten as his legendary career lives on in our hearts and mind. I only wish I got to see him play. RIP Pele the greatest!

That's circle of life. As much it sounds sad, but it had to happen one day. And we are just temporrary visitors on this earth. 82 years of amazing life, he become one of the greatest football players ever without even playing in Europe. Same like most of us here, I didn't got chance to see him playing, but he is one of the main reasons why football is loved so much around the globe.
RIP, Pele...

Pele was certainly a legend in the world of football and his contributions to the sport will not be forgotten. It is understandable to feel a sense of sadness and loss when a public figure or someone we admire passes away. He was an amazing player and a great man. Pele's influence extended beyond the football as well. He was a role model and ambassador for the sport, and he used his platform to promote social causes and charitable causes. He will certainly be missed by the football community and beyond. RIP

Pele won three world cups with his first World Cup at just 17 years old. Being the only and youngest player to win three world cups, he’s definitely a legend.

It's a piece of really sad news for the world of football. He was a legend and demi-god of football and would be greatly missed. He scored 757  goals in 831 matches and he was a player that was selfless and patriotic that he was ever willing to play for Brazil even with an injury. Pele was active on social media and always used the platform to encourage, mentor, motivate and congratulate young players.

His contribution to football is quite indelible because the world has not yet produced a player of his level. Regardless of the exploits of Messi and Ronaldo, Pele remains the greatest. He was also fortunate to live a very long and fulfilled life because most players of his age have died a long time ago. I extend my condolence to Brazil and his immediate family. I pray God would give them the strength to bear this great loss.

Adieu the world's greatest.
