If I wanted to send a bitcoin
How do you estimate the time of a transaction?

Exchange wallets will never show up the transactions that are pending. You should try to use blockchain instead, or perhaps see if you have any transaction ID.

Bitcoin Transactions are really headache now a days...crazy transaction fees, long transaction confirmation hours, Backlogs all are just making users irritate and discourage to buy BTC.
Lightning network seems to the only solution to this problem, but its implementation is not definite.

They all say they are back-logs so when we was paying near zero in transactions fees the system worked fast and now we are paying $20 (Some double that amount i am told) we are having to wait.

This does not depend on the price of sending a transaction.
The fee required to get your tx through fast depends on the amount of transactions waiting to get confirmed
and on the amount the others set as a fee. The highest bidder gets his TX confirmed the fastest.
In the early time of btc it was enough to set a fee of only a few satoshi because there weren't as much transactions done on the network as now (by far).

Please, post here your transactions ID (TXID) because it's hard to say something without it. There may be different explanations of this problem. It's very important, believe to me  Smiley

Sent some BTC to a wallet, but it's not even showing up as pending transaction.. and it's been 45 minutes +.  I know mempool is backlogged, but shouldn't pending transaction at least show up instantly?

Are the volumes high because the price seems quite stable for BTC just now and we all know that the big brokers shut up shop during a spike there by locking people in who want to take a profit.

I don't like the vibes I am picking up here today but please keep them coming because it has got to be said

It was due to congestion of bitcoin transaction in the blockchain that is why we encounter the havy traffic in confirming our transaction but you do no need to worry you will received that before 24 hours depending in the fees you choosen.

I think you know what happen in the bitcoin value in the past few couple of days it is fluctuates fast that is why more users do buying and selling bitcoin they took advantage of that situation to earn good profit.

Hoping that in the next day all the transaction will go back to normal.

As the bitcoin network has grown, it’s hit problems. For dull, technical reasons, the network as it was initially designed struggles to deal with the amount of traffic that flows through it these days, leaving huge delays in the amount of time it takes for a transaction to be confirmed.

Yes. From which wallet have you sent your coins and to with which one are you receiving?

Also, do you have your transaction id? You could search it in any Bitcoin explorer to see if there is really an ongoing transaction.
