Caution in investment is simply a must.
that is correct. If you are not careful, you have to face with the true that you will lose your money. Be wise and choose your investment carefully or you will cry deeply in the future. There are still many altcoins created in order to steal people money. You guys should remember not to put all your money in one place so that you can avoid losing all of your money

I say that lots of alts are scams, because they are made in a way only to profit the the creators.
They offer basically nothing new, they are clones with a catchy name, and unskilled developers.

People pump the coins to make a quick buck, then they will dump it as soon as they are done with it. They can start the process over again then.

ICOs are almost worse, people just throw money at people they don't know, they would never invest fiat in these scams!

This and the problem is all ICOs are made such that your investment is actually a donation so they have no obligation to their funders.

It is very hard to know which ones are good and which ones are good to collect and just hold on to so to see if they actually do something with it or just have something that is useless in the end.
Just found a good site which will allow you to check them before their ICO ends or just to keep in touch with the ones which come out of their ICO and are still around long enough to trade (non scam coins! Wink )

True, but you need to know when to take risks too. This market has been so hot that you could have put a little into every ICO and you probably be a millionaire.
What we have seen is a once in a lifetime phenomenon

I get some will be a scam but I also think there is no point in it cause if you create a nice coin you have potential to make millions to billions where as scamming you make a few million and feel shitty cause you just ripped a load of people off. Makes no sense to me personally
To have a successful project you need real brains and a valid project and scammers are here to rip people off and they will pull up any tricks to get the money and those are ones that come up with shady projects and try to convince that it is a genuine project and we have seen many scams throughout the years and so is the reason people are cautious.

Like Jamzymc said, sometimes a scam isn't an outright scam but it is a bad idea that's being marketed as something valuable. In some cases it can also be a Ponzi scheme in which the only way to earn money is buying passing on the tokens to someone at a higher price, meaning the token itself has no real value. There are also outright scams but that's a minority which is easier to recognize.

Some coins don't mean to be scams or they don't they don't realise they are a crap coin, but they are..

Some people do research, some  post every time they have a brain fart..

It happens in the stock market as well, where a new company comes in ect..

Point is do you're research & when someone say's scam on a coin you like, you can shut them up with you're knowledge.

That's what a forum is for .. discussing.. They will feel like an idiot if they are fooled

When a new coin comes out or has been out a while some peolle claim this is a scam and just right bad things about it. Are these people just working for other coins or something. I mean surely if you were the development team or the brains behind the team in the first place you would want to coin to do as well as it possibly can to maximuse your returns from the coins you had from the start. Makes no real sense to scam when you go legit and possibly be the next etherum. That's the way I see it. I get some will be a scam but I also think there is no point in it cause if you create a nice coin you have potential to make millions to billions where as scamming you make a few million and feel shitty cause you just ripped a load of people off.
