I think in the long run, the world would be fine. The US is not the only country or organisation that pays for global health care. I understand that they are the biggest and they contribute the most but in the long run, everything will be alright. Things might be bad for those affected directly in the short term, but after a while funding will come from other organisations and countries.
This should be a wake-up call for those affected countries too. They need to get their hands on deck and find a way to take care of their citizens. They need to stop being selfish and greedy and focus on their citizens.

I Think Trump's decision to stop the funding of PEPFAR will have a major negative effect on the countries most especially African countries that are beneficiaries of the program. For those who don't know, PEPFAR is an international HIV/AIDS prrogram that help make HIV/AIDS treatment available worldwide.
Take south Africa for example, HIV/AIDS epidemic has reduced the economic growth by 2-4%, what do yoy think will happen now that funding to the program has been suspended. There will definitely be a decline in the economic growth, and this will affect other countries too, and the prevalence of the disease itself will become even more.prominent. The stigma that society has been trying to prevent will become a problem once again. The cost of HIV/AIDS drugs and other associated medical care will be over the roof.
Only the rich may be able to afford quality management off such conditions...
While people may think it's a good choice as it may divert more funds to the U.S development,  it will be a very tragic decision for people who are dependent on the program.
