You are suggesting that madness in Philippines is less than in other parts of the world, but I heard some terrible things and threats their president Duterte is saying all the time.
I am a Filipino and I can certainly say that the president is a mouthful. that being said, despite all the terrible things that he says, he is by far better than the previous presidents who are just pretending to be a good guy.

I can't blame foreigners from thinking bad about our President because that's how he's portrayed by some news organizations.
If I'm not mistaken, more concrete roads and bridges were built, completed, and under construction under his leadership than all the past five Presidents combined. Not to mention the closure and clean up of the world renowned Boracay Island. The removal of decades of trash along Manila Bay and its rehabilitation.
Not sure what's the situation with Bitcoin there but that is also important know, how easy is to trade BTC and buy/sell stuff with it.
bitcoin is not illegal here and there are some stores that accept it. as for trading bitcoin, you can use pdax, binance or coins.ph to trade or exchange your BTC. there are also bitcoin ATMs here.
