Not sure why someone would just give bitcoin away like this. Op, why?

Blinded by greed or just stupid. Maybe both.

DUDE POST THE USERNAME

He's trolling. People have advised him to start a scam accusation thread and say who it's about and still nothing. He keeps going around it trying to avoid confrontation. If I had that much on the line I'd be posting with his profile name in my signature along with the link to the transaction and words SCAMMER and THIEF.
tomorrow i will post the full story with the name BUT I'm sure that that no one will help me! I want to find people who want to give me a real help! the moderator of this theme has no fucking time to response on my question! the only way to find a person is this forum where scammer enters everyday. He deleted all his social media, groups, t.me etc.

IS THERE PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO HELP ME!?Huh? I NEED A PROGRAMMER WHO CAN IDENTIFY A LOCATION BY LOGIN!!!!!

You are a troll. Anyone in their right mind who lost $50k would be naming names and naming companies. Not after Months not after weeks. You would be Naming people within days!  Your story is Bullshit.

keep calm

Yes, I'm the new one on this forum.
This person enters this forum everyday!
He has a website where you can buy "btc". I bought BTC in October on 52k. I was confident that in December I would make a withdraw from a website. But a button doesnt work now-) there is information on a website that they have some problems and invest this money in alt coins and they had fallen down. But no proofs he didn't provide.
I'm not one person that invest money in it! I suppose that more that one hundred people made it!

I want to make it public that this person can't enter any crypto conference. And all web has to know bad guys.
I have all screenshots, documents etc.
I know that their team is preparing ICO!

Please, give me some advices and help to find this guy by login

it seems you invested in some site that promised you double or a cloudmining perhaps?

Always keep your coins with yourself, there are many secure ways like using trezor to do so

Post details of the site you used and any other information that do not show your personal or financial info for now
If not help you, it would save some others in future

I am guessing 50K must only be like 10% of your total net worth otherwise you would not risk it in this fashion without doing a ton of research ?

Most of us would probably not recover for a while after such a huge loss.

Surely if you did a little bit of research you would know what they say about exchanges... Use them like Public Toilets, do your business and move on.

Its reasons like this that people invented Secure Wallets, and offline Wallets.

The least you can do is tell us which website it is so we can blacklist it or tread with extra caution.

Wow you give away $50k to a random person sorry mate but there is nothing you can do about it, you won't recover it. There was already a link posted  where you can post as you mentioned the person is reputable here in the forum. Just report him so that others wont be a victim of this scammer.

It'll be impossible right now if your objective is to get your money back. Because the only thing you can do right now is to propose an appeal for this. And leave somebody a red trust.

I am sad to hear this, somebody from community stole money. Its not forgivable.
I think too difficult or nearly impossible to get your money back. $50k is not small money so he will not give your money back i think.

Thats the thing about people man. Even with good trust on an account greed sets in. The trust could have easily been artificial too, just build up multiple accounts and have them trust each other... sorry for your losses dude but you're never getting them back.

The question is, why did you give 50k to a guy you don't know on BT? Even if it's sad, you can only blame yourself. We repeat all day long that you have to be very careful in the crypto and that you have to secure everything... It's natural selection.

Well first give us his name. We can't do anything without it. His IP address is probably logged with his account, give that to the right person and you can have his home address. There are way too many unreliable people in this industry. Now that it is growing, some professionals will move in.

Contact your local law enforcement. They can subpena bitcointalk and see the IP associated with the account. If the person always used a vpn, your chances are slim. If not, they will get them.

If this is true this very sad that there is such people in this community.
But posts above have same good points about securing your wallet and finally going to scam thread to make a complaint.

Further If you have proof , I think it could be possible to go to authorities if your circumstances allow it . There is possibility that IP address could be found out thus it could be a start.

You just need to create a topic in Scam Accusations to report about this scam. Beside 11,02 BTC at the moment is more than 52k$ Smiley) maybe you're having some problem in caculating. In this forum, don't believe anyone although they have positive trust or not, when you want to make a deal with a member in this forum, don't forget to use escrow for you deal next time Wink

Never send you wallet adress to anyone. There are simple rules how to make your wallet secure. Follow them and you'll be fine.
It has nothing together with the bitcoin address, here, on the forum nobody actually hiding their addresses so it is openly available . I guess the writer is telling about some scam activity, in another case why would he send to somebody such sum of money?!

can anyone explain HOW is that even possible ?

In real life for someone to steal 50K from you, you would have to put that cash in a briefcase and hand it over or you would have to accidentally send it to their bank account.

How is this even possible with Bitcoin ? Accidentally put it into their wallet ?  Huh Huh

Could you please elaborate more on how did that guy stole up that amount? Sorry for your loss man since those amounts are quite big and do really suck if you do lose them.Just like been suggested above theres an appropriate board for those accusations which it should really be posted on there on that guy who stole your bitcoins. Theres a certain format on scam accusations just follow it and input valid informations and legit proofs so that person would be tagged and wont able to victimized more people. Sorry for your loss again brother.

Man, this is an absolute bummer for you.

There are basic rules about securing your wallet, I guess if those rules aren't met that that your coins arent safe and up for the take.

I've seen an earlyer reply with the right topics about where you can redirect your post to, I hope your request for help will be answered, but I don't think you'll ever see those coins again :/

Do you know the username of the person? If so create a thread in the scam accusation (if you were scammed) or the reputation boards in this forum. This won't help you get your BTC back it will help others avoid dealing with that person.

Scam Accusation Board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

Reputation Board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0

I'd also consider leaving the person negative trust equivalent to the amount of Bitcoin you lost.

First thing you would need to do is post to scam an accusation towards this user In the scam accusations sub thread. That’s a hell of a lot of bit coin I would hope that you have screenshots and pictures of proof that you were in fact scammed. The problem is here the worse she could do is a negative trust but I’m sure the scammer honestly doesn’t care when you got away with that kind a coin.
