This topic funny sha,but wetin I go like talk be say I know really see any sensible thing wey dey inside spraying Money.People wey dey spray money not get regard to money,dem dey misuse money and dey also abusam.But I get the reason why some persons dey spray money,some of them,when them been dey broke,them been promise themselves say them go rubbish money when them go eventually gettam,na why when dem don get the money finally,dem no dey mind to spray Much Money when dem reach club or any other place.

The answer is yes. In respective of anything that we are seeing or going through in our country the truth should be told.  My question here is that, how many times have we seen the American spraying money any time they have program in their country? They don't do it because of the respect they have for their currency. At least we should have respect and value for our currency. I am in support the way CBN is going about over naira mutilation. What is the essence of spraying money in an occasion? Is it to show the public how reach you are or what. I totally condem that idea of mutilating the naira.

I no believe say Nigerian law go strong like this until when I was opportune to attend one wedding party wey my governor sef been attend, I come hear wey him they cut warning give people say if them one donate money, make them put am inside basket but make nobody try or attempt to spray money for there. And lo and behold, nobody try spray money for the programme o. Na that time I begin they imagine how well Nigeria for don turn to today if to say everyone they obey our laws like this.

The development and advancement wey we they all look for take style they tied to our law and order. And any country wey be say, them no they hold their laws well, E go they difficult make them truly get peace and they secured. But if everyone do their part, as government and citizens, we for don achieve more results as a nation.

I know say wetin you talk na true but why e go be like that, other things dem dey wey dey supposed take am seriously wey dey really dey trouble or dey give people concern but nothing our government them dey do, na money wey be say people work for am, na e dey go know say dey been put law say mk people no mutilate money, for me o, e dey bad, I no really support the government on this, as far as say na dey hustle for the money, anyhow I spent, no be anybody business although no be say I dey support bad thing o but I just dey talk my mind.

Without being told, spraying money is an offense given under the country's law. No be because for long, our country government don been d overlook this and not putting eyes into it, we come think na normal thing for one to spray money at any event he or she pleases without knowing the fact na their country's currency dem d abuse like that. Nevertheless, this law wey FG put in place for naira abuse na to curtail the abuse of naira, so that Nigeria's go get regard for it. No be to be spraying money anyhow like it is worth nothing. At least there supposed to be a manner of respect when holding a naira. Em go better to give peso money in bundles than spraying it one after the other just to show off. I believe na wetin our government want us to be doing "give out money in bundles for occasions than spraying it"

One thing for this country be say make person just dey do legit business wey no get anything to do with money theft because when your hand dey clean justice go speak for you no matter say for this our country the judiciary system too dey poor to carry out cases.
Cubana Chief Priest nah tight business man wey dey popular for ye country and em get influence even outside this country so the arrest wey them arrest am nah just because of money. Although, me I no too they reason that one sha but my own be say where all those money wey pipo dey use bail them sef dey enter? Watin them dey carry am do? Even those good wey customs done size even after them collect bribes, were those money and goods dey enter? Well if we start to dey talk about this country this page go full. So as e done be say if person spend em money sef nah problem nai be say the bets thing to do nah to just dey spend am jejely, instead of to spray for occasion e better make the person just send the celebrant any amount wey em feel say go dey okay for ram...

Nobody Dey above the law, and if them catch any obvious person, not just yahoo boys, them go arrest and sanction such a person.
Normally I know say, everybody Dey para for government and anything wey government do outside of reducing the cost of things an rubbish  for now as long as Nigeria is concern but sincerely these men Dey abuse the currency and you need to Dey were men Dey para with fundz then you go agree with government say, then need to put law but these men for wait make I first do my wedding before all these regulations and I don talk am say, these country no like me, as e reach my turn to start life, everything just Dey change for the worst.

Before now di federal government don dey warn about naira abuse and mutilation but pipo no dey take am seriously, so naim dem decide to go afta high profile persons wey dey commit dis crimes so dat everybodi go take di mata seriously. But dis is Nigeria, and everly e get some persons wey go get a free pass. I believe small small dem go begin go afta yahoo boys wey dey also mutilate naira.

How me I dey reason dat bobrisky mata be say him don offend a very strong politician or businessman wey wan teach am a lesson because of di way dem handle him own mata, him lawyer bin ask for bail which dem even turn down.

The money you are spraying do you think it's yours? It is a property of the central bank of Nigeria and at such the government has the  responsibility of making sure that the Naira note is not defaced. You only earn the legal right to own the money in your possession because you worked for it, and you are not to destroy it or defaced it.

That's why there is a law against the act of destroying or defacing the currency. In as much as you have the right to spend your money, you don't have the right to destroy it or cause damage to it. Nobody is stopping you from exercising your right, but you must do it in a lawful way. So people that the efcc are going after committed a crime and there are evidence against them that's why they are being arrested. That you rent someone house doesnt mean you should destroy the property. Use it the way the person asked you to use, anything outside that is not advisable, you will pay for any consequences that may arise.

I wonder o, I no know wetin be Naija people problem for this our country, if u do like this na war, do like this na still problem, person no come know wetin dem really want, for money wey u suffer get, na we no get right to spray or spend am as we like without going to prison or queried about, sometimes I dey ask myself say which kind country wey dey so, for ur own property o, na person go tell us how we go use our properties them, now people don dey mind the way dem dey do things especially that money side, everybody just dey hide their true identity just not to get involved with EFCC dem, even for occasions dem, people just dey do things on a low, to avoid problem, for  money wey I suffer get o, like say I dey beg them to give me money, just imagine how bobrisky matter be, e just end up to stay for prison for 6 months , for which crime kwanu, just because say e spray plenty money o, this country people just funny ehn, till we discover say na we be the cause how crime still dey increase for this country, our country no go still dey better.

It has nothing to do with exchange rate nor does it affect the value of Naira in a positive way.
This law has been active since before the late mother's burial ceremony of Obi Cubana and although nothing happened much then, except he being invited to explain the source of his wealth, the current administration has a lot to do with influencing the enforcement of many policies that were left rather ignored, by the past government.

Ignorance of the law is not am bcos it is against Nigeria Constitution to be spraying money up and down this was the reason why bobrisky and cubana chief was arrested though cubana chief priest pleaded not guilty and was granted while bobrisky pleaded guilty and still in detention. Now the fact de money belong to u dose nt mean u can use in whatever manner u feel like .in Africa especially in Nigeria we do things without being conscious of the law.

I believe say this new law go help call people to order, especially those our Nigerian police wey dey stand for road collect 100 Naira, squeeze am put inside pocket. But come to think of the whole thing, a police man go arrest em follow police man if em see say eh squeeze money put for pocket? I no talk say make them no punish people for violation of country laws oo, but then charity begins at home. Make people wey dey implement all these laws checkmate themselves properly and I dey pretty sure say na them go even violate the laws pass and still go scutt free. Una go see am say very soon videos go come out where politicians or some law makers dey spray money or violate same laws but still no law go hold them, the case no go even reach anywhere but when common men violate laws them go dey maltreat them like animals. My advice to our country people na say make una dey extremely careful with this new money policy and avoid anything wey go make you get charges of violation of the new law, be it squeezing or spraying at occasions.

It is true that Cubana Chief Priest is more influential but this has nothing to do with naira exchange rate. It is about naira abuse.

Do not mind them. Cubana Chief Priest is not going to prison is all what I can see. Sending Bobrisky to 6 month in prison is unfair and not called for.

I can see Cubana Chief Priest and Davido together very well. Davido Uncle which is the governor of Osun state now and Davido's father are very powerful and influential people. Also the guy will know a lot more of people but those two people are enough.

Lol, yes, i think the whole bail conditions is stringent to make sure say the defendant go return to court when it is time for the next hearing. Dem also make sure say the defendant submit him international passport, i just think say all these na part of the process.

Omo I feel say government wan really take the law seriously this time around, because according to watin I see the law don dey into existence since 2007 but we no dey recognise am or obey the law.
If the sentence of bobrisky or the arraignment of cubana chief priest go stop people from spraying money for occasions go stop, no be these arrest go do am. They also need to some orientation in our towns and villages to enlighten more people. Because as we speak this weekend, people are going to still spray more money and the EFCC cannot get to them at once, however this has been a cultural that has entered into the fabrics of Nigerians, so it is something EFCC will use the carrot and the stick approach to resolve overtime and not overnight.

According to what I saw online, 6 months in prison or a fine of ₦50000 is the punishment. But read what I posted below.

Bobrisky was sent to prison for six month without the option of a fine. Cubana Chief Priest was bailed with ₦10 million with 2 sureties. A court case that will lead to ₦5000 fine supposed not to lead to ₦10 million bail I think. This is Nigeria.

I think option of fine is enough. It can be ₦100000 for rich people and ₦50000 for people that are not rich. Most naira mutilation is done more by the masses which are average and poor people. If they want to see naira mutilation, they should go to the market, vulcanizer shop, mechanic and rewire workshop and other places like that. Also the kids are among.

I have a nature not to rough books and money since I was a kid but I noticed anyone that I give my book or give money to keep it which I will later collect back, they would have been slightly multilated. This is just part of what is happening in Nigeria that only awareness and some strict actions can be effective against but they are not doing anything than going to celebrities. It has no sense because this can not stop naira mutilation.

Op, Actually there's nothing wrong in spending or using your money anyhow but someone who actually know how long or how hard it took him/her to make the money they will have limit ( I mean the person will mind how he/she will spend and they spend moderately) but someone who don't pass through any stress like physical stress will be spending money anyhow because they doesn't feel any stress when making it. But saying Cubana Chief Priest get him right to throw money anyhow is not true, he is in a land that has laws and if you want to live you need to behave like the Romans. We all saw what happened between Bob Risky and the Cubana Chief priest were they both fall same law of the naira abuse but Bob Risky was sentenced to 6 months jail without bailing conditions while Cubana Chief Priest was placed on bail with #10 million.

The currencies being spread publicly and watching people stepping on it or even squeezing it stands for abuses, mockery and disregarding of the traditional currency conveying that it doesn't have value to the economy and the society at large.

So it is a slap to the government and the financial sectors even to the economy regulatory authorities that they are regulating invaluable materials. So they constituted the law to respect the naira and use it respectably so that it can also be regarded in the foreign sectors.

It's good that those caught abusing the currency of this country be brought to attention like as was done with Bobrisky and currently, Cubana Chief priest.
I don't think they are the only defaulters though, but they happen to be very loud and on social media about the event that made them larvish so much funds, instead of gifting it in an envelope, to the couple or to the people organizing the occasion.

I think if we learn to respect our currency more, we would have more value for it and use it to invest rather than to show off to make others envious or jealous of such larvish lifestyle.

Me I welcome this idea of fight against naira notes abuse because of the cost in producing those notes and most times those notes get destroyed which will still be returned back to the bank, and the government suffers the cost of maintaining the naira note due to citizens abuse of the national notes.
