Altcoin Tracker is taking alpha testers now. Please reply to book a slotIn this early beta form the site is running best at the a resolution of 1920x1080, any smaller res's (mobiles, tablets) will cause header display issues, but the actual main content should be just fine. There may be cross browser inconsistencies (and possibly larger issues) but I am not in the visual stage yet so it is running off of old code only designed for myself and my setup. Chrome, 1920x1080 will give optimum results.

Hi all, forgive my newbie status. I've been a lurker for a while but only recently signed up, hence the lack of images embedded in the post as I don't have the rank to do it yet...
Anyway - I've recently been working on a way of being able to track my trading profits (and losses...) in an easy, visible, instant and automatically updated maner. The project was successful and I am using it at the moment in a separate window to be made aware of any quick dumps or pumps that may be happening on coins I am watching or holding, or just to keep a general eye on 24+ coins on one page. I figured as it is 90% complete for my own personal useage I would share it and see if anyone else would be into it becoming a resource everyone can use.
So, a brief description-
When first loading the page you will presented with a blank canvas displaying only a container with a +.
You click to add an altcoin container and a blank altcoin container is added, prompting you to select a coin by clicking the dropdown/name (list updated every 5 minutes with new coins). Then you choose your altcoin, and all of the relevant data is pulled in via AJAX/PHP and populates the container.
You are now able to add your total coins. This will instantly update the $ price for this coin and the altcoin total $ on the top bar with a total.
Then you add your buy price in BTC per coin. Again this will automatically calculate the percentage based on the current btc value of the coin.
You then simply click save and it is stored in the database to be pulled up every time you log in from now on. You can also remove altcoins you are no longer holding/interested in by clicking the red 'X' (your user data (coins held and at what cost) is still saved on the server, just not displayed until you next pull up the coin.)
I have plans on what I would like to do in the future with this (should it garner any interest or not) but for me to release this into the public domain it would require some serious security well beyond its current implementation and my knowledge. If the interest is there I can look into hiring and making this a multi user site with extremely strong security that will remain free forever.
Either way, I had fun making this and use it daily
i quoted it for you. i am willing to be an alpha tester for this since i am an active altcoin trader. i will see how this can help me. i will check out you website now. thanks
