18 months later, Darkcoin has managed the "difficult" task of rebranding to Dash.

But still no masternode blinding, much less the improved anonymity of ring signatures.

Who gives a fuck what you or Peter Todd thinks?

Let the market decide. Oh yes, DASH worth lots more than XMR.

Nobody but you mentioned Peter Todd here.

Obviously you are obsessed with what he thinks and feel compelled to discuss it everywhere.

That's exactly what NN Taleb meant when he said "if someone tells you they don't care about what you have to say, it means they care a lot about what you have to say."

DASH  Embarrassed

Nobody but me mentioned Peter Todd in the thread titled 'Peter Todd: Darkcoin [DASH] is not anonymous'?

Nobody mentioned PT in your quote, which was about Amir Taaki's "#Darkcoin implementing ring signatures" tweet.

What happened to Dash's plans for ring signatues?  What happened to masternode blinding?

Does Duffield still GAF about privacy, or did that go away along with the Darkcoin brand?

That is because that reddit link is about

* Blockchain.info’s SharedCoin
* Not about Darkcoin.
* Darkcoin is not a simple CoinJoin.
* Discusses Dark Wallet which is not Darkcoin.

Amir Taaki of Dark Wallet essentially asked dick suckers who drag their names to troll on Darkcoin to stop doing it (even though RC4 plans for Darkcoin are different from Ring Sigs)

OP is not causing FUD. He is essentially bragging about being a retard in public. There are other FUD threads to troll about DRK. Knock yourselves off.

Dream on. With that crappy start and a closed source project whre nobody knows if it really works. Spread your false love elsewhere.

Funny how this constant flow of smear against DRK never seems to drop the price.

hmmm this is just FUD. Wonder why the hate Kiss

???just come out at tell us what coin you root for. Embarrassed

Everyone one bitcointalk has become so biased since diversifying in altcoins. Its hard to tell who to believe.

The way i see it, Dark is still on top and of $10 and will remain so because the dev is brilliant at a marketing strategy.

People don't realize yet, you can have someone else make Darkcoins for you. Any Darkcoin you buy can be used toward a masternode. There are companies which host masternodes professionally and even give them .5 DRk you can grow that. You get close to 2000th of a masternode reward, because it takes 1000Drk which is only 10k now, still thats alot.
Tell me can any other coin do that? That is why us non-I.T. guys love Darkcoin. if you don't day-trade, or mine, you can have someone else make Darkcoins for you.

Rofl. I see people need celebrities to believe obvious technical problems.

Why did anybody thought DarkCoin is truly anonymous in the first place?

Most smart people saw this was Aurora-coin 2.0 with closed source to hide it.

*Face-Palm*

But actually it is not their fault. They are focused too much on the price speculation without taking considerably time to understand the tech.

To prevent and record, with a hidden block chain you can't do that so people can fraud away. You might call it fraudcoin

understand:
Cryptomoney should replace normal money. If you give normal money out of your hand, you risk, that its gone and that is life.
So you should think BEFORE you give something instead of going like a kid to a higher authority AFTER you were tricked.

There are tons of escrowing services you can trust. They maybe have also an insurance then, that you get you money back if everything breaks. We have to grow up. Don't risk, what you are not able to loose.

Also anonymity is a disadvantage and overrated

Quote
Apart from the possibility of regulatory issues, if the blockchain/transaction record is hidden, then groups of pool owners of large pools could potentially collude to double spend, and if there is no transaction record, then this will not be detectable. Other such scenarios exist as well - remember that the blockchain is a public ledger designed to prevent or record fraud. Hiding this exposes the coin to serious risks.

The blockchain is NOT for recording fraud but only to prevent it. We want to make cryptocurrencies like real money and NOT traceable.
If i give a chick 1000 bucks for a kiss on my ass, only me and her know this and this should'nt change.
If you steal it, its gone and thats life.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/27rsv8/confirmed_blockchaininfo_shared_coin_is_broken/

So after writing a rather annoyed reply to Blockchain’s SharedCoin Users Can Be Identified, Says Security Expert some of us on #bitcoin-wizards tried some test joins, and sure enough I'm wrong and it's broken. tl;dr: I was able to easily guess someone's input just by looking at the blockchain data on my first try for a three step mix by just eyeballing the transactions.
I've tested this before, and previously Shared Coin was properly matching output value amounts and providing actual privacy - now it's not which makes figuring out where the coins came from trivial. It's a big song and game with all the extra inputs and outputs, yet it's totally useless, and expensive! So tell us blockchain.info, how did this serious bug get intoduced into Shared Coin? A link to the git commits where the bug was intoduced would be helpful.
Finally, a call to action: Dark Wallet is still alpha, and while I trust the intentions of the guys behind it, (I'm their Chief Scientist after all!) I'm not going to be surprised if we find some bugs in the Coin Join. We really need at least one more group working on a Coin Join implementation for the sake of diversity, and preferably not one tied to an inconvenient to use alt-coin.
