There is currently a reddit thread near the top spot petitioning MtGox for a comment on their financial situation.

I'm curious if anyone else here wants to know the status of MtGox's solvency.
Sorry for the double post, my submission to the currency exchange subforum didn't seem quite on topic.

Alternatively you could petition The Bitcoin Foundation.  On their website they state "We see this foundation as critical for bringing legitimacy to the Bitcoin currency." - there is no bigger threat to legitimacy of bitcoin then the scams that surround it and if MtGox has become one of them that would be a really disaster. Sure they are much in bed with MtGox - but I would trust for example Jon Matonis if he guided the investigation.

I have proposed this some time ago - but in the mean time I just moved out of MtGox.

Most likely they'll just post another uncomfortably, awkward video of Roger Ver reading a statement.

Honestly I thought that was rather shady to do.

Roger talks but shows now proof of anything ACTUALLY happening. Basically he vouches for Mark/Gox.
