I've been accused of spam before so I know that feeling. However, I took the feedback and took a step back as it's about community.

Work together not against each other.

Yep, agreed, and will do. Already made a new post which will contain all new art posts going forward.

Multiple collectibles will be posted in a single thread, as well.

I vote to keep it called bitcointalk.org - My reasoning -  it is a catchy URL, it has worked for quite some time now, and with the new forum software about to roll out I don't think we should be changing the URL as well.  Too much change for old me.

Otherwise, one good trick to auction multiple items in the same thread is by using what we call "Lots".  minerjones is the best at this, see a few of his auctions for examples.

Will do, thanks LC

I'm fine to move all of the recent art posts to another section of the forum, so that way I can just post a single thread with all items.

Can someone tell me how to move posts?  I cant recall how to do it.

The problem is when you are auctioning multiple items, the thread title does not allow for you to put a long string of words, so it could be easy for items to get missed.  But sure, I do see your point.

There are words that exist to explain there is more than one item auctioned. Smiley
Something like "Multiple pieces auctioned" in the title will probably work.

Good idea.  Could probably do something like "Crypto Collectibles, Huge Lot", or something to that effect.

Frank - I have what is  called a watchlist on the collectibles board. You spamming so many threads makes me have to "Unwatch" every one, (Since you post so many, I don't even bother looking and/or reading about them anymore, I just click unwatch and bam, it's gone from my life.

I used to like your pieces, but indeed, you are now just spamming.

You see the problem is that even if put you on ignore, I still get all the new threads you post.

Just do the right thing, and make one thread like the allen & ginter one.... FFS, this shouldn't even be necessary.

So... using me as an example, you are LOSING customers for doing this.... Congrats.

Again..... I have no dog in this fight, but to be honest frank.....  you have 9 topics on the first page alone.  This is a bit ridiculous!

5 of which are for auctions of collectibles that are outside of our company...

so now I need to limit my auctions?

Look at other forum members threads..... multiple items listed, updated etc.  It'd be courteous follow suit.  Don't be a jacka** just to be a jacka** it's not very becoming!

Proof of your work not being collectible but rather a "good"

Well my wife has decided it doesn't fit right in our study where I was going to place it, but luckily I get to keep the crypto!

It's so awesome looking in person. It's a limited large piece on a birch wood and weighs in at about 15 pounds. Would look sick as a center piece artwork on someone's wall. I think it would look great on a wall that is about 10 feet high and 10 feet wide. Limited to 5 and now sold out. Paid $2250 for it, but I will let it go for $1900 even. UPDATED PRICE: $1800 TOTAL SHIPPED in BTC. $1700 - FINAL PRICE: $1200 or it's going to end up in storage.

Will use trusted escrow. Shipping included if in NORTH AMERICA OR WESTERN EUROPE. OUTSIDE WESTERN EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA, SHIPPING WILL BE $100.

-picture snip-

Not sure the point you are driving at here.  That a customer sold a piece of our artwork for cheaper than retail?  Yes, I'm sure that could happen.  It can also go for higher.  This gets into supply/demand/people's interest/economics.  Some pieces have sold to Bitcoin exchanges for triple the price.

So now your point is not that I'm posting too much. But that our work is not collectible?  Roll Eyes

I wonder how other users do to auction several items within the same thread, geez ?  Roll Eyes

That would be the way to present it Smiley

Not "rename bitcointalk to frankbitcoin", which is clearly a troll post.

A better approach -

Hey Frank, when you are posting auctions for your collectible sales, can you post them all in one post so that there arent multiple posts to sift through?

My response would have been -

Oh, sure, guys, sorry about that, didn't mean to cause an issue.

But.  Clearly, this is trolling level.

Can you keep it to one thread at least? You are clogging up my watchlist every day, and I have to unwatch every thread you post because I am not interested. (Nothing personal lol).

Thanks!  Smiley

Alright, sure.

and then what i can do is just update the thread title when a new piece comes out.

Not necessarily.
The quantity of threads you start, it would be a good idea to limit it, yes, for the reasons quoted in the post below.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

If you really want to get into rules...

This entire post is a violation of the rules lol.

Now suddenly I'm under attack for releasing new art.

So just because you're under attack gives you the right to spam this subforum ?
The fact you went silent for some time is a lame excuse to justify your posting spree.

Make one thread to list them all, keep it updated, and then you'll be free to spam it as much as you want !
Yes, it involves some work, but the benefits are that it doesn't piss off people. Which is generally a good thing, for a brand.

If the mods or admins have any issue with my posts, I'd be happy to facilitie their requests.  Just a note.  Smiley

Yep, piss off potential customers. You're a genius salesman.
On a side note, your latest post breaks the forum rules.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

Not sure what you mean.  Again, if the mods or admins have any requests for my posts, or for me to post less frequently, or combine them all in one post, whatever it may be, I would be happy to facilitie their requests.

True that, given the quantity of threads created by frankbitcoin, it would be wise to make one big thread listing all his creations. Smiley
This has been suggested in some other similar cases, and ended up working well when applied.

This is not your storefront, it is a subforum for Collectibles enthusiasts to trade and pass on information.
You are now achieving flora levels.
Learn some forum etiquette or take your spam to Goods

Agreed 100%

Ah, brand recognition is good, for sure!  Smiley
Nothing wrong with posting for sale posts on here.

Well, isn't that wrong when ~25% of the threads on the 1st page in Collectibles have been posted by you to advertise your creations, within a very short time span ?

Not sure.  I went silent for like two months and didn't have a single thing posted.  Now suddenly I'm under attack for releasing new art.  And posting said artwork on a collectibles thread.  Bonkers  Smiley

side note:

Janice, John's wife (relating to the McAfee artwork I just posted here), liked the art and actually just made a purchase for it.

It's unfortuante that you can't share the same interest.  But to each their own!

I post on here for other things, as well - not just Lynx pieces.

And I've bought about $20K worth of collectibles from this community.  I've also done raffles and giveaways.

So I think I'm a solid contributor outside of our artwork.  Smiley

But yes, rebranding the site to our name would indeed be quite cool.  I don't think the admins would be in agreement with it, however.  Wink

Use your [ANN] thread like you previously said you would for new artworks. You can even set it up and "Reserve" the top replies to add new pieces. You are now achieving flora levels.

You do the exact same thing on your reddit account and once they disappear off the first/second page you delete the whole threads. You are consistently told that the various subreddits are not your storefront. Learn some forum etiquette or take your spam to Goods, because your art is no longer collectible when the same piece comes out on every single medium known to mankind.

Pretty soon youll be able to wrap your car in Satoshi's Whitepaper by Lynx Art Collection.
