Wow, great news!  Sooner or later they will embrace crypto currency. They also going to  love crypto like us but I hope it would be no tax included when they fully accepted crypto since BSP is a government property.

The Philippine government is certainly becoming more objective when it comes to changes that could have great impact on the economy. Cryptocurrency is one change that can truly have a positive effect on this area. I can say that Filipinos are fortunate to have a government that is open to this kind of development despite of the many controversies.

More exchanges = more demand, that's good bring it on, I'm all for it. If all these small countries keep adding to the group they'll have a bit of a dent.

i guess that is another case of  the chicken and egg problem Smiley
i'd say more demand = more exchanges! because first there has to be more demand for something (trading cryptocurrencies in this case) then a new service to pop up. and in Philippines there has been a growing demand for bitcoin lime most countries for bitcoin which is probably the main reason for this licensing stuff.
additionally i would argue that existence of an exchange is not going to bring more demand, but if it is a decent place with good security and insurgence that they are not going to get hacked like hundreds of other exchanges then it can increase demand.

I support this kind of decision from our government, I know our country will be more Crypto friendly since a lot of exchanges are now showing interest to do business in the Philippines. Philippine government should really support this kind of technology so many Filipinos can earn more because of the opportunity we have in this market.

The Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) have been licensed by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to exchange Philippine peso with cryptocurrencies. This exchange is the first of its kind for the Filipinos, which will trade a list of cryptos and tokens.

The different cryptos mentioned in its website are Bitcoin, XRP, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. Also, they have mentioned that two other cryptocurrencies that will be part of their list will be mentioned soon. These coins are said to be the coins in demand.

“This is an exciting time not just for seasoned cryptocurrency traders, but also for everyone who believes that the future of investing is digital. With the approval granted to us by the BSP, we hope to make financial markets more accessible to everyone,” said Nichel Gaba, CEO PDAX.

Besides coins.ph exchange platform, there will be another trading exchanges coming soon in the Philippines. I know that the country is too small to put a significant dent on the price, but this is a welcoming news indeed.

What do you expect of the country in the next 2-3 years? Will it be a boom or bust?

coins.ph I think it is better, there is no need for new competitors in this case, the increase should not only be on one side, it would be better if in all aspects of cryptocurrency it is also applied so as not to be a temporary hype

Expect more cryptoexchange in the Philippines soon. I heard about NEM and Loyalcoin is very active in Philippines and its good to have that kind of coins. This is a great start for the Philippines, Filipinos will find their way now to own cryptos, hopefully most of them learned a lot from the scammers recently happened in the Philippines.

The scammers that run off with billions of pesos has nothing to do with the exchange, its a Ponzi scheme, while making money in a exchange like PDAX is legit. But yeah, more crypto exchanges is coming 3 or 4 if I'm not mistaken so this is great news indeed.

I also agree with @kingcolex, might not put a dent on price, but it will all sum up when every small nation go full crypto and embrace it.

And this kind of opportunity should be taken advantage of Filipinos, I'm sure that there will be a lot of paid and free seminars that will pop up in the next couple of months to cover crypto trading.

This coming exchange truly know that the cryptocurrency is rising in the Philippines and we must accept that it truly happening because of more exchange.

Everything will evolve soon as posible it may take time but sooner or later it will increase. Also many in Philippines know about cryptocurrency many are serous and are into it. So in reality Philippines is taking it seriously and even though that some people says that it is a scam people some relly do earn fast from the cryptocurrency rather in the outside world the fiat.
