LightLord,

I'm trying to find some information regarding the behavior of poclbm/phoenix via bitcoind (local server)... If I could post this in the appropriate section, *Bitcoin > Mining > Mining software (miners)* it might have a better chance of getting a meaningful response.

anyway, still have the same question regarding a local bitcoind via rpc to client miners running poclbm/poclbm-mod/phoenix...

regards,

J

a little off topic, but I'm still restricted to noob corner.

Since I upgraded phoenix to 1.7 I'm having strange issues
Note the gap in time.

one additional point, the Phoenix miner reports;

"warning work queue empty miner is idle" ...but still does NOT list any shares submitted/rejected, which the poclbm client does...

does not appear to be network related (...connected directly to same LAN segment -same switch)

Hello All,

I'm making the transition from pool'd mining to solo -while i gen less than 2000MH/s (took me better part of two months to submit a million shares...) I clearly understand from a profit perspective that pool'd mining is the way to go for me, however i just want to solve a block.

anyway, my question is this;

when using the phoenix miner (via ubuntu, pretty sure this makes no difference) my clients will connect to my local bitcoind server (via RPC) and the Phoenix miner will report connected and MHASH speed... but shares will not increase or reject. But on my second machine running POCLBM (via windows) it will also connect and show MHASH speeds, but it also shows shares accepted (and returns a checksum hash)...

when i was participating via a pool my Phoenix miner would also display shares accepted/rejected, but since moving to bitcoind server it does not...

any suggestions/experience with this is most appreciated,

regards,

J
