Bump

Have you responded to the pm the other person sent?

I have and quoted, he wanted a faucet built but never responded

Personally I think these are wayyyyyyyy to overpriced. It takes about an hour to setup a WordPress site and you charge $250 for that?

Actually hes charging 250 euros which is $338.85 USD
ripoff.

And actually, it's £250 which is $408

But seeing as everyone disagrees with my prices I will amend them to make them more fair

On a WP site.. I feel guilty charging client's anything over $30 USD if there is no custom programming going on and it's just an install. Checkout Elance, or Freelancer.. You will be shocked to find out how much you sound silly.

Softaculous > Install WordPress > $250.

These prices are way too overpriced.

I don't charge for the Wordpress install because it's a one click job, but I do charge for customization and making sure everything works as it should, I can tell you now about half of all Wordpress premium themes do not work out of the box and have to be fixed after installation.

Again I still remain confident that my prices are fair, but if it turns out I am wrong I will drop them.

The thing is, if you want a website it's fair enough but you have to pay to have it done and done right. All you will find by going to the cheapest guy is you get a half assed job and when the site breaks theres no support.

I can offer a complete package which includes reasoniable support at a fair price. If someone is serious about a website and sees the potential it is worth 100 times more than what they paid and if £250 is out of your budget then perhaps a site isn't for you..

You should change the name of this from PHP web dev because installing wordpress does not involve actually writing any PHP.

Sorry but first off your prices are 100% ridiculous just to setup a website.

Until you present something like this: openex.pw

You are not a php developer.

I charge $20/Hour for my website programming. It is real programming not copy and paste.

I see, alright then. If you are able to justify the price with your help with custom themes, then it's fair.

Anyway, how much would you charge for a faucet-like system (no automated payments or integration with APIs). Users will register, get a fixed amount of BTC per hour if they click on the collect button, and at the end of the week, all the information (addresses and owed amount) are consolidated into a database or soemthing, and I'll manually pay out the BTC.

It's hard to quote for that job but depending on how much you want to spend and how complex you want the system

But a site where a user can sign up and login to their account where they have a Bitcoin address tied to the account isn't very difficult

The database would collect the number of users who opted to collect a payment for that day. There would also be a backend where you can see who has opted to receive a payment and how much..

Shouldn't be too difficult to build, if what I have suggested is what you are after, drop me a PM and I'll drop you a quote

If you can, please tell us what his quote is.

I'm awaiting for his reply. I have PM'd him for a quote a few hours ago.

Personally I think these are wayyyyyyyy to overpriced. It takes about an hour to setup a WordPress site and you charge $250 for that?

It really does depend, if the client is easy and happy to go with a wordpress theme with no alterations I will charge a lot less.

But most people will want at least a little customization, this being the case I don't want to say I can do it for £50 and upset the client when I tell them that they'll need to pay extra to move stuff around or change the colours etc etc. Anything that takes me time to do, I have to bill for, unfortunately the way of life

Also based on where I work and used to work, my prices are very fair. I know what I'm doing, I've done it a million times before so you're also paying for my experience

Of cause no job is the same so the quotes are a rough guideline. I don't think £250 for a serious website is out of anyone's league
>where I work and where I used to work
You can't just say that and raise your prices like hell.  Also, even £50 is outrageous for a wordpress installation WITH customization...

(also, @ nahtnam: He wasn't charging $250, he was charging 250 POUNDS, which is $403.70 USD)

Wow even more expensive than I thought. On these forums even charging 0.1 would be outrageous. Also change your price to btc from euros and charge 0.05 for wordpress setup.

I work as a PHP web developer full time, but during my weekends and after work assuming I am not doing anything. I want to start making Bitcoin related websites

These will be both for a bit of extra income and so I can start building a strong portfolio

I often use Wordpress as it is the most user friendly CMS I have used it is also quick to setup and more flexible than a Russian gymnast

My prices I think are very fair and include revisions within reason;

Standard Wordpress setup from $150

This includes installation and minor design changes to a free or premium theme [must be purchased by you]

It also includes 2 plugins installed and configured (Contact forms, social bars etc)

Complex Wordpress setup from $300

A theme will be fully customized by myself to fit your needs (within fair reason) a design may be required based upon your requirements

Up to 5 plugins installed and configured, includes minor changes to the features of the plugin if required

Bitcoin store from $500

A fully custom Bitcoin accepting website built on the WooCommerce eCommerce platform for Wordpress

A customized Wordpress theme based upon user given theme

Bespoke jobs

I don't just do Wordpress dev (though it does make for a quicker turn around and all round nicer site) if you need anything bespoke just let me know and we can discuss a quote

Please note : any required purchases plugins, themes etc will be completely covered by yourself, I will request you send me the files before I can start

I work fulltime this is a side project I work fast and I am responsive but please understand you will not have my full undivided attention, I will do what I can when I can

Depending on the job, a deposit will be required before I start work

All payments in Bitcoin, if you have any questions about the service please let me know.

Example work @ my portfolio site lkwtsn.com

I also run the site in my signature, it features a casino built by myself
