It looks like there is a problem with the Blockchain Server. Try it again later, but I am sure you are now a bit angry why not try to download a other Wallet like Xapo ?

Xapo is one of the secrets Wallet

https://xapo.com

and the Android Wallet link

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xapo&hl=de&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dxapo+android+wallet&pcampaignid=APPU_SwvNU-TKPLDT4QTKlIGgDg

Or use the Standart Android Wallet, but you need to secure it self

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet&hl=de&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dbitcoin+wallet&pcampaignid=APPU_owvNU96BJMqB4gT1-4DgAw

I personally recommend the standard wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet), as I've used it for a while and managed to screw it up once while fiddling with settings and was able to easily recover the private keys from the backup. It's well-encrypted, and aside from the PRNG issue that affected every Android wallet it's had no issues. However, I still wouldn't keep too much money on a phone wallet (only about $10-$40 or so, depending on Bitcoin's price, even though I have backups of the keys elsewhere), but that's up to you.

You can also encrypt you Phone with AES256bit. Secure enough?

Entered a PIN as it may have been something you need to create when first opening the app for the first time afetr pairing with you existing wallet, buy get this error:

It's a brand new wallet, so no BTC in there. I was just wanting to try it out. Hitting Forgot PIN does nothing. No response at all.

Think I will stick to the qt wallet for now.

Thank you for your responses though. If anyone else has used the app on BC, let me know how it was for you.

The app don't ask you for a PIN.

You create a PIN just enter what you want

Well maybe! Smiley Worth checking! Smiley I didn't though about that possibility Smiley

OP what's your case? What is it written on a screen when it ask for PIN?

Hi,

I have just set up a new wallet on the official Blockchain site, and have paired it to my mobile device using the latest app for Android.

I have set up 2FA, verified via SMS, so security wise I have done everything available on BC. However, when I scanned the QR code via my app, it asked for a 4 digit PIN number. I can't seem to find this anywhere. The SMS and email verification codes were all 5 digits.

Any clues as to where I may locate this?

Regards,

Richard

As I remember good - just after I downloaded Blockchain.info for Android after installation on the 1st run I was asked to set up my PIN number (4 digits).  If you don't remember doin' that well you might have a problem. As PIN will be needed.

Regards.
