Well its not something new that online casinos and sportsbooks add Bitcoin as an payment options.
However.. Pinnacle is a BIG player and as far as a know its the ONLY Casino/Sportsbook with an MGA License ( Malta Gaming Authority) that accept bitcoin payments.
If someone here knows about any other MGA licensed operators have bitcoin as an payment options, please tell me.

https://www.pinnacle.com/en/payment-options

I just saw this when i was surfing into pinnacle, I have done some research after and i see they added this bitcoin payment options in early March 2018, so sorry mods, if i missed that someone here already wrote about it, but I didn't find any thread about it.

This is IMO one of the biggest surprise in the "crypto gaming" world this year. Now we can just hope that more BIG and serious operators like Pinnacle start to add bitcoins

What do you guys thinks? do you share my enthusiasm  Smiley ?

Not a big deal ,pinnacles is not the best sportsbook and as bitcoin users we always had large variety of ways to bet with bitcoin, I don't think that i am ever going to use Pinnacle for betting.
On the other hand, I believe that we people should start pushing gambling in decentralized exchanges, such as Fairlay, who offers the ability to bet against other persons for free, so you are actually not paying any house edge to the gambling operator like you do at most of the gambling sites.

Pinnacle account is a must have for every professional sports bettor , there are many events where Pinnacle has the highest odds so if you don't want to use them then you are missing value

but I do agree that it's not that big deal , I was hoping that this may turn other big gambling sites to start accepting bitcoin but so far this isn't happening
if you want pinnacle odds you can have it exactly the same at bitcoinrush , or you can create an account with asianconnect and fund your account with bitcoin
they allow their players to create an account in pinnacle and other bookies

so yeah basically nothing changed , we are able to access pinnacle platform using bitcoin without them directly taking it as a payment method

Pinnacle have better odds than any Bitcoin sportsbook. It would be a big deal if people want to get the highest profit possible betting with their Bitcoin. I think having better odds is very important, but one downside is that one will be sacrificing their anonymity.

Online casinos which use bitcoin are probably the biggest place where crypto enthusiasts and users spend their coins on, a large amount of bitcoin is always being used for gambling, and that goes to the fact that you don't need any identification to use it, so if big online gambling sites like Pinnacle start accepting bitcoin, it will lead to its users getting curious about it and maybe even investing it, which will lead to its popularity increasing, and the more users there are the more other similar sites will do the same.

What do we thinks? Grin

We thinks maybe we should also consider what percentage of Bitcoin long term holders are regular gamblers. I believe not that large, as the holders like to trade more than gamble to make more Bitcoins.

Plus we do not see nocoiners coming in droves to buy Bitcoin to gamble in cryptocurrency dice sites. The next halvening would be more exciting news for me if I wanted to see a pump. But we are years away from it.

Honestly,, Malta is now recognized and observed as a great country for cryptocurrency.. Have heard it on Binance transfer from Japan to this small country news last few weeks ago.. Europeans having such open approach on regulating and adaptation is working better than what is happening in Asia..

If Pinanacles and other big players continue to promote this,, it will benefit both the company,, the market and the community..

Yes, and in Europe its over 600 operators with an MGA license that operates all over the world, so when all this operators start to add and promote Bitcoin as an payment options.... Cheesy

Wooh.. That’s staggering 600 operators and if even half of those or 300 will recognized bitcoin as an alternative payment/betting option and adaptation on its development for technology that would be a good thing.. That worth my time and interest then updating of such threads like this newsfeed is a must..

Thanks for sharing such news and this is an encouraging news to hodl more and wait..

#merited your post as I find it deserving for such..

Thank you so much! and i agree to 100%
I believe we will see more news like this during the year.

Well it seems not only in dice game and online gambling bitcoin can be use as a bet amount, it's really great many are now looking to the idea of adopting digital currencies. I will not be surprise if in some major sports world wide, bitcoin can be use to bet. The future of cryptos are going to hit the global market.

Yeap, and thanks to Pinnacle 741.4 million people in Europe can bet on sports with Bitcoin Smiley

This is actually great news, especially because Pinnacle is a renowned online sportsbooks site. And I wouldn't be surprised to see other gambling sites adopting Bitcoin as method of payment (actually, interest in BTC has been growing in gambling websites), this move will probably have a snowball effect in the rest of the gambling online sites. Usually, when a big gambling website like Pinnacle adopts a new feature that's attractive to the customer, other websites will follow the same approach, so it'll be interesting to see how big of an impact this will have in the long run on Bitcoin.

Agree, this is exactly what i think also

Well last year I have joined a sport betting website and I think that was also from Europe and they accept also bitcoin. Bitcoin anyway is a trend now in betting games because it is easy to use. You only need BTC wallet and buy bitcoin and you are already good to go.

Probably it was an operator with a Curacao license, Pinnacle got a MGA license and it makes it very interesting .
anyway...feels like Bitcoin is here to stay forever if someone ever doubt that Smiley

Off course that is way lot enthusiastic news that anyone can give us to. I mean use of crypto currency in the casino and online gaming has rising since many months. I am seeing at least more than five ICO in the alt section which are completely based on the online gaming and they call it now crypto gaming ICO's. Thats juts crazy how the acceptance of the crypto currency is increasing heavily.

With the pinnacle news I am sure many gamers might be happy already and many more other merchandise will get motivated with this move too. This will help others to implement BTC payments on their casinos too. They might be having massive transaction as gaming and casinos are the best in this one.

Yes, and in Europe the spend a lot of Euros on gambling, The European market is today the largest market for online gambling worldwide. Of the €34.6bn of online gaming gross win (stakes minus winnings) generated globally in 2015, more than 47.6% per cent was attributable to the EU market. so we can just imagine when a percentage of this players start to spin and bet with Bitcoins

Casinos, this kind of business can bring millions to the bitcoin industry. If you notice in online business and investments one of the longest running bitcoin business are the casino or bitcoin dice game business. They never ran out of clients and they never go out of business. If we add more casino's online especially Europe base casino this will bring more players and bitcoin users,

Absolutely, Europe is a massive online gaming market,  so when this operators start to add Bitcoin I´m pretty sure a lot of players will start to look how to invest and buy BTC
