Horrible eBay always forces you to receive USD, EUR or paypal.
If I sell my used stuff I want to choose which currency I get.

There is a lack of new trading platforms (similar to old eBay, old Amazon, old Alibaba) which offer their customers to choose receiving their desired cryptocurrencies.

These are free countries.
They have to stop forcing us!

They have a monopoly but they dont "force" you to do anything as such. You can either use them or use something lik open bazaar.  The problem is though everyone uses ebay etc.  I dont know why they dont allow you to accept crypto in some way though, ebay will argue they cant force a refund if the buyer has a problem with the transaction.  However ebay give you the ability to mark as payment received if you deal with cash for example on a trade you've made person to person.

Maybe ebay could have a feature where you put a certain amount of money/crypto in escrow with them while the crypto transaction goes through. This kinda feature would only be needed if you had little reputation on ebay anyway.  I know just recent i bought something via paypal and accidentally did it under the wrong account so i did not have any money in my bank connected to the paypal but because i had a large history with ebay/paypal they covered the cost and put my paypal in negative amount until i repaid it later.

They are actually correct because this is what you assented to in their terms and conditions before agreeing to sign up on their platform and using the service they offering. There is an option which is only refusing to use their service by looking for alternatives and if that wont work, you can create an alternative yourself which I know a lot of people will equally not be happy with the limited options they are making available. But with the absence of those two alternatives, there is nothing that can be done on the contrary.

Unfortunately, as many have learned the hard way. Ebay and Paypal could care less what you want as a seller. They will ban you in a heartbeat and never bat an eye.
They only care about their profits, so you'd have to hit their pockets to make a point. Until they're doing fine selling for USD/Euro they won't think about changing anything just for the benefit of a small group of clients, because that's what we are, a small group when compared to people who are using fiat these days.
If they'd see a decline in sales along with numerous petitions to accept cryptos they might do something about it.

They are just for the profit. Although the OP sentiments is valid, Retailers would even nudge a bit because they are not offering other payments. And as long as there is no demand from their clients or customer to make bitcoin as alternative they will not act to it. Amazon reportedly thinking offering bitcoin as payment because their is some kind of petition going on. If  this see that its a viable option because their customers demand it, I think they will give in. Maybe just a matter of  time mate because those big retailers would accept bitcoin.

To be fair, they're not forcing you because they want to. Those are the most widely used currencies. Making every single one available would incur additional fees for them, which the customer has to shoulder in the end.

It wouldn't be much better in crypto, because like USD or EUR, you're likely going to have to convert it into your local currency in the end.

You want to be free? Then dont use their site because if you do make use of them you would always follow on the procedures or terms that they do set.If you dont like then create you own company which you would able to set your own rules since you havent then we should follow as of now and those currencies are the most common being used as of now.You cant really recieve on the currencies which you do like. Its their rules if you dont like it then dont use them as simple as that.

For now, you can't do anything mate. If you are not happy then sell your stuff on other online marketplace but I'm sure you will have the same sentiments. Bitcoin acceptance is still in its infancy that why its not yet universally accepted as mode of payment. You have a choice, keep your stuff and consider it as a non-performing asset, or sell it now accept whether to receive it USD EUR or paypal? If I were you I would go for the latter, at least its already cash or money instead of you stuff sitting on the garage for nothing.

Obviously because Ebay is a worldwide online market so they have to choose the currency that accepted all over the world like USD and EUR cause everyone can easily exchange USD and EUR in every country in the world but Bitcoin is different cause it's only legalized in few countries beside there are some countries banned Bitcoin and Bitcoin is not well known all around the world so I think it's the main reason why they don't accept payment in Bitcoin on their website.

Crypto is simply still too insignificant to be recognized as a form of payment by the vast majority of business/organizations. This might change in a few years but for now you gotta switch between crypto and fiat yourself. Personally I have to pay all of my bills and products with traditional money too but I don't mind it that much. Utility of crypto is still virtually non-existent worldwide at the moment.
This is true.  I've sold stuff on eBay and have offered to accept bitcoin.  Know how many people took me up on that?  Zero.  People don't want to spend bitcoin, if they even know about it. There's no need to rage against eBay for this, and buyers don't have to pay with PayPal exclusively.   Also, it's their site, not yours or mine.  You don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Dude, I love cryptos and all too. But this just isn’t right man. They are not forcing you to choose between these currencies just because it gives them a laugh. They are doing this because they love you. Lol.
Seriously though, they are making you choose between these currencies because these are the currencies that are being used widely by most of the people. And businesses will always choose the bigger number of customers than the lesser number. So I don’t think it is fair to hate them just because of this reason. Try to put yourself in their shoes.

What we see is that they strictly avoid to implement the currency of the people: cryptocurrency!
They try to hold us down, they choke us and they force us to use their own currency: fiat!

They are correct in their position because they have huge business to run. It doesn't matter to them if a very small percentage of their seller is looking to sell for crypto currency. because the legal status of crypto currency is not clear in many countries and they can't leap in to something like that. However, you have a lot of choice to convert your USD to bitcoin very easily. Make use of those routes whenever you record a sell of your product. Let the buyer pay using USD and then you convert it to bitcoin any other crypto as per your wish.
