The blockchain gaming industry is still in its infancy, but there are a number of games that have been developed using the Play2Mint & Play2Earn technology.

Some notable examples include CryptoKitties, which has garnered a lot of media attention for being one of the first blockchain games to explode in popularity and seemingly taking the rest of the crypto-gaming community along with it.

With the rise of crypto currencies and blockchain technology, it's not surprising that there are now a few games which offer the option to earn real crypto currency in exchange for your gameplay time.
It will get there though, it will get there. One day we are going to have unreal engine 5 using, vast map, a lot of big details type of situation where every bit of the land is used and owned by people etc type of giant thing. It is not going to be this year, or the next, but "one day" it will happen. That’s what humanity is looking for, an imaginary land, a vast one at that, all of which is owned by the players, no house locked, no land out of bounds, every single bit available and owned.

So, people could have another life and metaverse (and maybe help of VR too) will make that happen eventually one day. When that day comes, it’s going to be a bit of a problem for humanity, because many will try to restart their life there instead.

I don't know if any of this games will be big or will actually earn you some money, but these are some of the games that I am currently playing:

The first one is The Sandbox, it's similar to Minecraft, if you enjoy playing minecraft or you are interested to play it, you will enjoy Sandbox. https://www.sandbox.game/en/

The second game is PirateXPirate if you are bored with all those mmorpg game, and monster theme game, this one will be a fresh game. It's a turn based strategy game with Pirate theme of course, you can build a crew, grow your ship. etc. https://piratexpirate.io/
Sandbox is already big and maybe they can grew more bigger by the time many people got involved in crypto and blockchain gaming but I don't know about the second one, it's new to me although its gameplay is I think much better than sandbox since I don't like minecraft kind of games.

They are pixilated and I don't really know if what is the goal of the game lol but in mmorpg games, you will be given by a certain task which will you complete to get your character much stronger. These two games will obviously provide you by some cash while playing on them because they are called play to earn games anyway but I think some will require you to invest your own money first.

I don't see how this game is graphically intense, it looks like something a hd4000 gpu can handle very well at a higher resolution like a 1080p display, you can't compare this game to the graphic details of illuvium, Undeadblock looks like a 2012 graphic design game.
It's not only undeadblock but whole of blockchain gamings are still using old render just like ps2 graphic. I never seen any HD gaming that was using the new engine. There are some maybe exist but mostly of the blockchain games are still using old engine without thinking to adopt the new graphic.

There are a lot of P2E games out there, it depends on your preference.
If you are looking for FPS kind of project, Undeadblock might be suitable for you. Not only do they have a good community and development, but they are also running on a good platform IMMUTABLE X. The game is similar to left4dead, we are shooting zombies and getting their native token through it.

If you are into strategy and turn-based games, you can try Splinterlands, GodUnchained, and Skyweaver. They have been in here for years and they never stop developing their project.

Undeadblock is an interesting game, but quite resource-intensive. Not every PC will be able to run it  Sad
https://www.undeadblocks.com
I looked at the reviews, very little reward. I see no point in spending a lot of time to earn $20. Maybe in a bull market the situation will be more profitable for the players, but participation in the game is not a guarantee for receiving rewards.

Well, I like how this game looks. I played some zombie survival games before and this game reminded me of that, so I think I will try it... I am the type of person that will spend a lot of time playing some games because I enjoy the game and if I earn some money meanwhile even better!

Wanted to download and try it, which leads me to Wagyu "Wagyu Games is leading the charge on Kill-To-Earn Gaming. The Wagyu Games flagship product is set in the post-apocalyptic world with Undead Blocks.". Never heard about them, will register and download a game, and check this Wagyu a bit more. Thanks for sharing.

I believe a play to earn game to thrive should bring an immersive and free world to players. Something like GTA, The Witcher, Elder Scrolls... With many different skills to evolve and a complete manufacturing/crafting system to develop raw materials into every goods of the game. So you could craft your tools, weapons, clothes, buildings and everything else.

I'm sure this game would be a huge success and many people would live it for real. The in-game currency could be a token/altcoin letting players earn real money for their effort inside this universe. But nothing too paid to win like the games we see right now. Actually, pay to win features have killed modern multiplayer games' structure.

P2E games are very tough in the long run. The most benefited from this P2E game are those who enter early so they can get a lot of profit such as rewards from the game or they sell their NFT to new people who enter at a higher price. early P2E games usually sell game items very cheaply and then they will jump high when the community is large, but that usually doesn't last long because when the rewards are not balanced then this game starts to be abandoned.

Now the trend of play to earn and move to earn is finished. So investing in these projects now will not be good idea. There are still running project that are not Successful yet, so always check the uniqueness of project and project acheivementsns so far
It's not yet finished but it was getting vanished due to the bearish trend. The fact that if trend is always exist no matter what happened with market but the problem is these days people lack of confidence with ROI that being offered by play to earn project. They are seeking for something new from cryptocurrency. Once bullish trend will be coming back again and you will be seeing massive surge will happen with play to earn project.

I believe the same, p2e has huge potential, it's not like other trends in the market. The traditional game market is huge and already has a large player base. Just combine blockchain company and traditional game company, find a solution to overcome some problems, I believe the p2e trend will soon come back and boom, p2e field is a lot more realistic than other fields.

Hello there, I've been wondering where to ask this question yet could not find any suiting place anyways.  Huh

Its been almost a year I've first started chasing these type of games and enjoying it so far. I wonder if there are any P2M P2E games worth attention? We could maybe share knowledge and even play together some of those games.  Huh

If this is not the fitting place for this question please do lead me to the one that is.

Thank you in advance!

If your goal is still profit, then I think you should find yourself another way to invest instead of getting involved in P2E projects. Today, P2E projects are not as profitable as before, investing in them is still profitable but very small and quite risky. You can see that even Axie Infinity, the market leader and highest grossing game, had to stop its game because it was no longer generating revenue. That shows that P2E is really struggling at this stage.

Well then there is nothing to do except waiting for a proper AAA+ game to initiate the process...

What do you think of Sorare? Is there any other game like that? It is idle but it benefits if you properly invest in?

Thank you and everyone this thread is quite helpful now thanks to us all.

Have you tried Gamma4 built upon Bluzelle blockchain. Its an interesting P2E game where gamers play and earn. It rewards In-game NFTs  collected  while playing PVE(player vs element) and PVP(player vs player) activities, the NFT in Gamma4 can be interacted with players, they are useable as functional NFTs that can be used as in- game characters, cosmetics and can be traded outside of the game’s world.

You can more info on their white paper

I checked the site and indeed it is an interesting game.  FPS players will certainly like this NFT.  As a matter of fact, I am downloading this while writing this message.  So the theme is about killing zombies and earning on the kills.  one question though, do I need to buy anything first to be able to play this game?  You know the typical P2E game where we need to buy the character before we can start playing the game.

I'm not sure what kind of p2e do you like to prefer, but I would like to let you know that these p2e is not as profitable as it was before anymore. Obviously because of it's minting structure that won't gonna be sustainable for long term.
But I'd also suggest to you some exciting p2e to play, a role playing mmorpg  called MIR4. I have stopped playing it a long time but some of my friends were still enjoying it while earning a little.

It is indeed not that intense but at least we need an average gpu to run it, please bear it in mind the zombies are spawning from every side.
if we are using an old gpu, we will see a lot of glitch when we are playing it and at some point it will freeze.
tried it a few times, it is smooth in the beginning but when the zombies are around 30+, It is starting to glitch.

it may not be finished yet, because the gaming industry is huge and the P2E platforms are just in the early stage of their existence. but we are seeing a lot of crap P2E games, developed in a hurry to catch the hype. only few of them will survive long. if you happen to invest in one of them, make sure the company behind it is already established. much better if they have a name already in this industry, because they have long term goals, but if it just comes from nowhere, high likely that it won't last long.

I also agree that P2E projects are really crap, projects are almost just trying to be created quickly to keep up with the trend, not to completely create a game that is as entertaining as games traditional. The gaming industry is huge and if there is a serious combination of traditional game companies and blockchain companies to create games, I believe it will attract a lot of gamers, not just speculators. P2E is a game that can be both entertaining and profitable for players.

I looked at the reviews, very little reward. I see no point in spending a lot of time to earn $20. Maybe in a bull market the situation will be more profitable for the players, but participation in the game is not a guarantee for receiving rewards.
Well, they will have a regular tournament and there will be daily earnings. From the info I gathered, you could make a few bucks or more with their NFTs. I do not think that is a bad situation for the holders though.
it is totally different if we are talking about Gala, it is indeed not worth it to buy their NFTs right now. Not only it is overly expensive, it also does not have any earning whether it is daily or monthly. Totally not worth it
The entire economy of such projects is designed to increase the number of players. As soon as the number of players decreases, token prices fall. There are a lot of such games now. You can buy a separate computer for security and play all the games, but that's not a lot of money considering you'll be playing all day. This is all reminiscent of a Ponzi scheme, when payments to old participants come from funds that new participants contribute.

Almost all games I guess are worth attention but again, the reality is, will they bloom in the future?

Always disregard the mindset of "earning" since it might give you disappointment.

To truly enjoy a certain P2E game, choose a game that you prefer the gameplay. It's like enjoying your usual gaming experience with a chance of getting earnings, possibly in the long run, without having an expectation.
Without a doubt that would be the ideal but the issue is that the majority of those games are not really that good and if there was not the possibility of earning money with them most people that are playing those games will not even bother with them, so as much as I would like for a good game to appear and that allowed people to also earn money with it, I do not really think that is going to be possible for now.

Ni no kuni had a play 2 earn mechanism? I thought that's a third party games that are available on Playstation and other consoles, when did this project made it into blockchain and turn play to earn? Can you please drop me the link? I will like to see if this is the same game or a new one.
It seems Ni No Kuni is a series of videogames with years of existence already. The one I mentioned is Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, featured by south korean Netmarble and launched about 100 days ago. The game brings NFT and play to earn features. Official website: https://ninokuni.netmarble.com/en

Galaxy Fight Club, it's interesting for a game. It uses the blockchain system, and can buy coins on Huobi. I think the NFT concept they developed is also very interesting. It's not just a game, but it can also make money, so the time you spend is not wasted. Looks like their platform is still in Beta, or you can try other games like Axie Infinity.

Axie still has the most users playing. If you are trying to look for alternatives try checking this list https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/games

So many games today are created on Polygon, BNB chain, WAX, Solana, and EOS. This is sort of an investment as well if you are rooting for its success, the stats you can find in the link will give you an idea about them also.
There will be so many dead games in this bear market so its very dangerous to invest on play to earn games right now unless you are so sure what will happen, many of them are just money grabbing projects, the team never had the intention to build anything.

Well I prefer MOBA or Diablo type of games to chill out with my mates while running dungeons or slaying people do you know any attention worthy game regarding these?

Thanks for the infos I'll check them out. I have played GodsUnchained for a while but it is quite old game for me to invest in.

I would love to play a game like DotA and earn cryptos or NFTs tho.

There is a new game that will come out next month on 1st September called archeworld : archeworld.com
That really fits your description, the land sale is already done though if you want to invest in the game. But from the information I gathered so far, it has potential and probably will be the next Mir4 I guess?

Please take note, this is not financial advice. It is just a reference to the game you are looking for. Always do your own diligence.

I think that you shall focus with any move to earn project. This move to earn project will be so easy without you need to spend some of your time to play the game. You can do that even in your daily activities caused by it will be counting your move and run. it will convert it to be points that can be exchanged with the tokens. Im always using the app even the salary gets decreased but at least i can earn some bucks in a week for doing daily activities.

Well, as a gamer I prefer investing in with time and skill rather than earning stuff just by walking. I want competition, luck, diversity etc. Need an AAA quality Blockchain based game I suppose and there is nothing as close to it so far sadly.

I do not know what kind of play-to-earn and play-to-mint game you are looking for but you can browse this site https://playtoearn.net/blockchaingames to look for possible games that you may get interested.  It is the list of play-to-earn games that shows the current status of the game.  It is quite helpful because almost all the games are listed there.
This is also where I checked new release projects of play-to-earn games. Most of the time I choose the MMORPG type as they have a far better chance to be valuable in the future once they gain a mountain of audience.
Mir4 and NinoKuni made it successful to do so, many RPG players flocked to those types of games where it depends upon grinding but of course, if you have the money then there's always the option/offer to make it faster than those playing for free.
I suggest though to always look for the new one, early investors and players always have the upper hand when they comes in first.

After cryptocurrency trends has moved from play to earn into move/walk/run to move, do playing games still profitable? Is Axie Infinity still profitable that much, so people quit jobs and concentrate on games?

I am looking for an opinion of a decent player, that is not spending his whole day playing, or someone with unlimited funds, that has bought every booster in the game and now just sit, click one button and is bored.

Amen to that! I also hate idle games which you go all in and just click buttons all day long. I am looking for a game in which I can demonstrate my skills regardless of what people have bought (at least to some certain point) and gain benefits according to my rank or my skill you know what I mean?

I hate those spend all your money to make money on the way type of games Sad

There are a lot of P2E games out there, it depends on your preference.
If you are looking for FPS kind of project, Undeadblock might be suitable for you. Not only do they have a good community and development, but they are also running on a good platform IMMUTABLE X. The game is similar to left4dead, we are shooting zombies and getting their native token through it.

If you are into strategy and turn-based games, you can try Splinterlands, GodUnchained, and Skyweaver. They have been in here for years and they never stop developing their project.

I like to play. And in general, mobile toys, it's interesting. I used to be far from it and then I got involved and now I play several at once. Which of the many such projects is the best I can’t say yet, but I’m looking for information in this area. Recently I wrote a post about one game you can read https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.60775193

I'm playing mmorpg Ni No Kuni. It's a free to play game at same time it's a pay to win game. You earn in-game tokens called Territe and Asterite by ranking among the top players and by killing respective monsters. Many players are complaining the game isn't profitable and only those who heavily invest on the game are able to earn by ranking on the top, while killing monsters doesn't worth the time spent for the earned rewards.

I stiil don't have any conclusions about the game, but the lack of interest from players who want fast and easy money is a good sign. It helps filtrating the environment somehow. Moreover, bots aren't able to harm the economy, because they don't rank among top players and until they reach a high level where they could potentially have access to better drops the accounts will be spotted, banned and removed.

Besides this game, i don't know any other alternatives right now which can provide players a full gaming experience.

Thanks for this. I just googled it and instantly downloaded it for my phone because it looked so cool. So far this is the coolest game that has crypto implemented into it that i've seen. I honestly even don't care about money now, i am just playing this. Gameplay seems insanely intuitive good and rewarding to me as a gamer. All the crypto games i've tried are somewhat nonsense, bad design, buggy and laggy games that never should have been done in the first place, but this is on whole new level of gaming.

I love the fact if people indeed are complaining they don't get enough money for playing this because i would hate to fill this game with those people. Thanks again.
Glad you liked. Currently I'm level 70 there. There is another game with similar mechanisms: MIR4, that came before in 2021, although it is infested with bots which affect us directly. Moreover players are too toxic. I was high level there, but just gave up.

In Ni No Kuni things are a little better, because abusers can't do much against you. I hope you enjoy the game.

There are so many that worthy to be played but the most difficult thing to search for some which were offering you good amounts of money. I guess so many people are searching for this but they were unable to calculate accurately how much they will earn from playing the game.
I think that it's better if you can try to get the list and then join in the community to get information about how much money that offered by any play to earn game.

What games have you played so far? Probably just avoid games that says they are the next big thing or the "axie killers" and also those oracle-based games. They tend to die out first for some reason hehe. Maybe stay away from games that are overly hyped on social media by some of the so-called influencers who doesn't even know the game that well.

I absolutely confirm this statement for I myself tried those games last year and it cost me some fortune to realize they were just babbling some rubbish about their roadmaps. You really need to avoid such games because they won't bring you any profit if you don't believe, you can look at their progress right now and see if they gonna have a chance to recover, you will see they will just give their investors some news but without any good progress about their games.

I have always wondered if it would be really be interesting to play these kind of games. If you get early in, it can maybe be interesting but you also need to put a lot of time in. From the moment, some of the projects really grow like Axie, they always lower the rewards...

The list of games are really interesting, it’s good to have this kind of site though as we can see, the market is not in a good position and looking at those P2E games, they are all down which can affect the earnings that you could get from them. I still see Axie to lead the P2E industry but then again, it’s not rewarding anymore. If you really want to play P2E OP, you must be ready to invest some money and have a lesser expectation that you could get your ROIA instantly, most probably it will take time.

I already forget Axie infinity.  For me, this project is a big disappointment.  All their adjustment always creates a massive loss to the investors.  On another note, I agree that if we wanted to engage in P2E investment, we should be ready to accept losses and time-wasting activities.  Honestly, I won't suggest engaging in this kind of stuff for investment at this moment.  If OP's motive is to earn then why not buy the coin directly and trade it in the market.  It is a faster, and less time-consuming activity.
Axie has been a big deception since rewards were removed from adventure mode. With that measure, developers removed a large portion of the players from the game as well, because they don't have teams strong enough to stay competitive on PVP mode. Theoretically after doing that SLP price would rise, but what we have seen since then was an even further drop in price.
Unfortunatelly a sustainable recipe hasn't been discovered by developers yet to run their projects efficiently and to make it worth for players on long run.

It's very hard to pick some. I will try to pick some earning projects that were not forcing its users to owned some NFTs. Yeah it's very hard to calculate how much you will  get by playing it but at least this has some good things to be used to earn some money rather than wasting your money to earn nothing. The game like axie infinity is not giving you any money again. ROI was very very bad. It's better to stick into vulcan forged which is free to play and the economic of its token were stable without getting huge inflation like SLP. The play to earn token called lava already paired with several big tokens include USDC. These days move to earn was not so good as it was a few months ago. I think that you need to consider it again but renting shoes from others seems to be a good choice.

Have you tried Gods Unchained? They have pretty much pioneered quality NFT gaming to the point they created ImmutableX to deal with tx fees for nfts. I think they are definitely worth looking at even though i have some personal issues with them, ton of communication issues during launch and deceiving technical bragging. I don't even need to understand the whole issue, i trust way more tech savvy coders than me on that. But i recon you get best experience for investing very small sums in any game and not try to free leech them. You can get so much more from them when you have skin in the game.

The market is down right now and these play-to-earn games have been hit badly and most of their tokens are very low right now. So if there are some worth our attention, it will depend on what you see with these projects. You need to DYOR and some projects that might have been told to you here could be the best for them but not suitable for you. Anyway, this is the right place for you to ask such questions, let the others have their suggestion and read what they think it's worth giving attention for the projects they will suggest.
