So, have any of you ever heard about LBRY? What do you think about it?

I'm not sure, I might have heard of LBRY before, but I never really payed too much attention. So, thanks for sharing.

From what I can see, it is a really cool concept. I've just downloaded their windows app and it seems I should be able to claim the 42 free LBRY Credits.

Hopefully, their platform will grow and attract more content creators. More content will then translate into more people interested in that content, hence, a possible competition to the centralized book publishing on Amazon or video publishing on Youtube. Would like to see that happening.

On their discord they have a channel with a feed that shares everything that's been posted on LBRY, it's moving pretty quickly.
If you look at their roadmap, you'll see that development has been really active these past couple of months.

I really hope it grows, they're still working on implementing Youtube sync, so people can just move their entire Youtube channel onto LBRY.

I had just received a development update from LBRY and I've gotta say that I'm really impressed with how far their app has come along.
After you've installed, you get around 4 dollars worth of LBC, just for browsing the app and subscribing to a couple of channels.

Uploading your own videos and files is dead simple, I've not encountered any problems with uploading or posting.
The devs are also very active on Discord and it's clear that they're working really hard on the app, while also taking community suggestions into consideration.

Btw, LBRY is basically a digital content marketplace, on which creators can choose to sell their content (videos, e-books, music, etc.) or give it away for free. There are a couple of really good content creators on there already.
