I think that your post will be useful for many, good that you wrote it. But I think investors are smart enough now not to fall for scams. It can be dangerous for beginners.
This is what I always preach about, it is good to checkmate a project before trying to throw your money in there, we didn't just heard of bitcoin and went to buy it because we were told that there would be an increase in price, we went to buy it because we read satoshi whitepaper and discovered that the project is very feasible.
Always make sure you do your research well before making investment in ICOs.
I wonder why many people still fall victims of all these ICOs that are out there to milk people of their money, you I know, have realized that some people are just too lazy to do researcher themselves which is quite a bad quality of an investor or a trader, they will rather prefer to rely on peoples opinion than to acquire solid knowledge about the project and make enquiries themselves.Always make sure you do your research well before making investment in ICOs.
Though whitepaper is not enough to really conclude on an ICO, more research needs to done on the team and project before investing money, most ICO’s nowadays are scam and this is terribly discouraging.

yeah even though it's very promising like other project it always turn to garbage at the end. That's why i preferred also choosing finished projects which is less worries and very ensured. rather than putting money on some uncertain ICO project because i don't want to waste a money again. .

When BTT ICO started, I was there and tried hard to invest in this ICO. But binance launchpad did not accept me 
I mean Every time i tried to buy BTT coin, it showed me an error! So, when all token was sold out and when I knew only 700 plus people could join in the ICO, then I thought those 700 people were whales or team members from the Binance and BitTorrent! So, people should be careful about investing in BTT coins, anytime it can go to 70-90% down!

That is true that only a few could invest during the initial phase and they closed in a matter of minutes but that does show that they are bluffing, they reached their target in minutes and they closed the initial phase and that is the case with every top level hot projects, it is difficult to enter during the initial phase as it reaches the target in minutes. 
The money that I have lose in cryptocurrencies investments that I am not happy with is not through trading but through icos. Investment into icos projects are full of scamming and I have decided to stop it because of the amount investors have lose. I joined op to said it is highly advisable for us to avoid ico investments.

there are so many thread that indicate the majority of ico are scam and those who are not out of them many are heavily manipulated as per whale desire,btt was great example of it and i think new investor should stay away from market for at least one month to see how any ico goes or read different thread about ico to get an early experience of not falling in trap just for quick profit.it is their responsibility to check everything about the ico before investing in it.

It seems like binance is keeping the ICO's alive and if this will continue people will start to gain confidence again in investing to ICO but again the disadvantage would be a lot of scam ICO will pop up that has great presentation. With regards to BTT, yes people lose or win but then again thats the risk.
I don't believe in ICO anymore. They are just collecting a huge amount of funds and after that management becomes nonsense. They will start shifting dates for distribution of bounty and elongate the listing of their coin to any exchange, giving us proper updates about themselves. I believe more on self-funded projects and a little bit on STOs.
Investing in an ICO is very risky because there is no guarantee that we can make a lot of money. When fraud occurs, we don't know what to do and we have to give up our money. And investing in ICO must be careful and conduct research.

I am not hundred percent guarantee giving to an ICO at this time and it will be a huge risk while investment and any ICO in today situation because you lots of scans will only come to this time so we cannot trust that in most of the time.

Binance lost its spirit.. 100% profit oriented, in fact the greediest exchange ever.. his CEO asked for listing fees up to $2.4M last year.. Despite it was proven the emails came from BInance, CEO still said that could be a dishonest worker form Binance.. Then tried to cleam their reputation saying listing fees will be donated.. pathetic!

People should by now have a proper understanding of pump and dump, a good trader should not be a victim of these if true, though it’s good to take advantage of these action as a good trader but for the upcoming ones, its necessary to be careful because it could backfire a big time, this happened to one of my coins when I didn’t trade with care, my 450usd later turned to be 30 usd, so now what I do in trading is to take little profit I get on it when it’s being pumped and buy when dumped.

I know about the high market cap and probably thanks to that BTT token can't rise more in the current situation. But all people here believe in 100k and more for 1BTC, then another rise is very possible.
All I understand is that in order to gain a profit, people pump BTT ''to the moon''. Because, this price increase seems as a profit that people cannot provide since long periods of time. After BTT, when ONG was listed, it had the same volume and increase.

You don't calculate an increase like that... Marketcap entails the circulating supply and the price.
This is not the best way to interpret a percentage increase in price.
Probably using the ICO price and then the current price to get the percentage increase is a much better approach.
IMO, Justin Sun is well known for marketing and create fomo for TRX. I didn’t buy BTT, it is overhyped by both Justin Sun and Binance. Stay away from this guy, he is good at pump and dump.

Bittorrent ICO is a perfected Sham, I don't understand why people are betting big on this ICO, looking at the tokens for me I still don't understand why there is need to have token incorporated into the platform, this is a working platform with millions of users already. no it is not organized scam and it is not something strange. this is what happens when a big name asks for money like this!!! they don't have to do anything though, their token is just as pointless as the rest of them but since they have a big name they can raise large amounts of money like this.

Those people that already entry BTT market think only because the ICO uses the name "Binance" as a shield, so they think it is still in a safe zone especially with the presence of the well-known Binance market volume. SO sad.. I loved BInance long time ago..when it began (summer 2017)... rised too much , too fast and got sooooo greeedy (asking listing fees of $2,4 M. (which they didnt admited publicly ,despite there were proofs that the email of this offer came from Binance email)... and then trying to clean their reputation, listing for free and donating to charity.. or maybe this is just some strategy to pay less taxes.

I am seeing the trading details of Bittorrent and am horrified how many people will be loosing lot of money.Be carefull with the FOMO, and remember you always should buy low and sell high.
Looking at the details in conmarketcap, nearly $450 M. have been traded in last 24 hours, which is an insane ammount. Cant remember now something as overhyped at this, and when it falls, will drop hard.
I always take a look at marketcap instead of price to realize if there is potential. Value just over TOTAL supply (as circulating supply isnt public yet):
990.000.000.000 BTT x $0,000905 = nearly $900 M.
In https://icodrops.com/bittorrent/ it is stated that ICO ended on 28th january, raising $7.2 Millions.
So marketcap now is :
$900 M./$7M. = 128X --> 12800 % increase

If you remember when it was reached 7.2 millions dollars and then the ico price was around 0.00012 according from the ico drop and it can be calculated about how much distributed to the ico and it's around 60.000.000.000 in circulating supply right now.
It's not even touched 10% from the circulating supply. this is a manipulation from justing and binance.
I am going all in in Fetch ai. Believe me, a new hype around binance launchpad has started! Fetch ai will show 2x at least.
As for bittorrent unfortunately I was unable to invest, but now I agree with OP , because market cap is too huge!

If there is just one reason i fear TRON is basically because of pump and dump such as these They have a way of making things absolutely miserable for every one out there They are mostly the real investor in the coin and now they are getting more money with basically if you ask me just shitty coin

That is why I didn´t buy BitTorrent tokens because I know that Justin Sun will push it for few days and after that free fall will happen.
I'm glad I weren't able to get whitelisted under 1000. Bittorrent I think is still a great file sharing project to invest to. An investor has to wait right?

It's just another fraudulent ICO from TRON CEO. This time he even have arrangements with Binance CEO, so it's a really big game. Yes, indeed, many people will lose a lot of money with BTT as well as with BNB, but still the second is a little bit more safe.

BTT is doing same pattern like Tron and yes people should be very careful about this, I think its a Tron strategy surrounding this project along with all the hypes. Just like Tron it will surely hurt investors pocket after the dump.
this pump and dump here with the fund raising was the only reason why TRON bought the brand in first place. they weren't actually buying, they were investing in it. and now it is paying out, in millions of dollars in their pockets overnight for doing practically nothing!
unfortunately that is why the altcoin market is not capable of moving forward and all we see every day are these useless pump coins instead of good projects setting out to change the world!
