There is no problem with you hosting the random-number-generation, because there are easy ways to make it transparent and fair. If you are uncomfortable, then there are plenty of trusted members around here that would help you out.

You can expand it further if you have more participants. As long as you pick a future block, nobody will know the outcome and everyone can find out the winner simultaneously and live - without any middleman, interference or trust required.
