Now, as I've always told , be careful about what you read online. There is a lot of fake news going around. I'm sorry to say that this sounds like one of those fake news stories. It's just too bloody and disgusting...

I've worked in business for a very, very long time and have seen rivals spread rumors and try to hurt people's reputations, but this? This is the next level lol. I think you should stop sharing fake news. Always be cautious and think things through.

We don't have to be sorry when saying or speaking the truth, and this does not just sound like a fake story, it's a full-fledged fake story, for if this was to be true, then by now, some trusted news outlets would have picked up the news by now.
What i see here, like i think someone already mentioned or said yesterday, the author this story probably played on stake and lost his or her money, which probably he or she is not happy about, and as a way to get back at stake, he or she had to make that fake medium account to post such rubbish as a way to try to get back at stake, unfortunately for him or her, he or she has not the required influence to make people have any atom of believe that this could be true and try to avoid playing on stake, he or she is just chasing clout.

Well, asked around in the Stake chat and people are saying Eddie was active in the chat, so this is bullshit. I think this is just a Stake player messing around and stirring up some controversy, with the Halloween around the corner.  Roll Eyes

This is not a death threat or some butt hurt gambler that lost money, but just some troll that are trying to get some attention. I also doubt that this is a marketing stunt, because it's kinda sick to do that.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Eddie has a lot of haters and these people have to stoop down this level just to defame Eddie, the article was taken down maybe by the author or by Medium management I have the suspicion that OP has something to do with it, checking his account he only join this forum just to post this link and pretend that he stumbles it online, he could have checked and verify in the internet if there's a piece of news like this because Stake is a big gambling platform popular casino news aggregator will cover and verify this.
If the article was not taken down, the Stake law office could trace and charge the guy it's possible to trace this fake news creator.
I don't know whether the OP has anything to do with the person concerned in making the article or not, but here everyone has the same thoughts and this will actually mean that the OP may not be able to do much here.

Nowadays there is lot of fake news being spread on large scale and they are also using popular British broadcasts to gain public trust, but now the public is also getting smarter so they will find out many things to be able to truly believe what has been reported.

There have been many cases like this where news was spread using the name CNN and usually fake news like this is spread more via Facebook or other social media.

Grin Grin Grin That is true I also checked the profile that said the author is from CNN Australia, if he is from the CNN Australia he should publicly post the article on CNN not in medium. Nowadays we should double check the source news guys.

Remember the news lately posted by cointelegraph on twitter. One single line of news can move the price

I won't lie.
When I first took a look at the title of this thread I feel quite shocked someone like him would meet such horrifying manner to die, he would not be the first person of Fame and fortune to be killed though.
Anyways, I am glad I decided to check on there and realize all of this is nothing but a fake news pushed by someone who likely should not be gambling in any way shape or form...
I have seen people complaining about casinos before and even pointing out at the casino as the reason they lost money, but this may be the first time in my life I have seen someone deliberately spreading misinformation about someone who does not even know personally, because revenge.

Even if this fake news became viral and people actually assumed he is dead for some hours, that won't get your money back, man ...

I thought this thread would have been locked by now,  this is because we don't have anything to discuss here unless we just want to spread false information for no must reason but to propagate the Stake CEO,  and if that be it,  I think is better I we avoid such discussion and I ad is ops to lock the thread.

If not locked,  this thread could become a solid ground for those posting just to meet the signature campaign quarter.

If I was stake, I would use this for some publicity somehow. Maybe this weekends stream Eddie could have a headless horseman costume on or something and do the weekly stream in costume.

If Eddie had been injured, i'm sure stake would eventually make an announcement to the fact. It's crazy the things some people will do when mad.

If you were believing it and you were dumbest person i have ever seen. By using the name "cnnaustralia", the author made a deliberate attempt to mislead readers and this is so stupid as fuck, although it is worth mentioning that CNN, being a reputable news outlet would not engage in such deceptive practices. Moreover, CNN will always publish it on its official news portal. Hater is going to be hate.  Cheesy the author was just butthurt.

I just came across this news article about eddie craven the ceo of stake.com.

is this true?? this is so gruesome i hope its a hoax

https://medium.com/@cnnaustralia/ceo-of-stake-com-eddie-craven-found-decapitated-in-home-c97466afb173
After seeing this news I was very scared. I searched from various sites to check the integrity and only found this on CNN news channel. I think this is completely false propaganda. This fake propaganda is running to damage the platform. We will never believe this and you will not believe this propaganda. This propaganda is created to harm the platform.

I was unfazed bacause I already think that the news is fake.  It is a hoax because news should have been everywhere if that news really happened but instead we can't find any news about the fake story and only on that account.

I do not know what entertain people to post fake news.  Whether they have a grudge against the person, posting fake story of someone killed in a gruesome way isn't funny.  Even if they make up fake story just to have views and clicks, this will backfire in the end since people that find out that news are fake, they will stop reading and following the article created by that account.  Worst the person behind the account may get imprisoned for instilling fear and lying to the masses,

Could it be you? The article's not getting any sort of reach yeah? And you're wishing to broadcast it? Lol how sad must you feel right now. If you have a withdrawal problem take it up to them, they've been very responsive to all of my issues in the past and present regarding anything that could be considered a problem in the gambling industry, instead of actually going at it and creating two (I must say, BADLY WRITTEN, even for an AI content generator) articles about Stake. Calm your tits, drink your milk, and start talking to people so your issue could be solved. No one's going to reach out to you to have your problem solved served on a silver plate. We're not living in a fairy tale here my friend.

Welp that was rather morbid I must say. Reading the article though you can see that it's more attuned to "creative" writing rather than news writing with how it describes its events. Not to mention that it's bloody short as well, not much info was given considering the fact that someone was "decapitated" according to it. It's just dumbfounding how someone can even spend the time to actually edit out images, write (or ask chatgpt) and post it on Medium cause they were salty about losing money. People like this ain't really fit for gambling or anything related to a relationship. They probably even need anger management classes.

To note, the edit of the image wasn't really morbid (the news was), heck I actually found the way it was edited rather funny.

Being denied a loss bonus wether you're worthy of it or not doesn't warrant whosoever made up this horror scary hoax to go to this length maybe just to send a message or what! This is a casino company that's just recovering from a hack that threatened it's customers base and now this just for what because I don't understand why people would risk doing this never thinking about the following consequence of their action in the eyes of the law. Can't imagine what the stakes community are going through right now after seeing this barbaric propaganda one that's life threatening.

Sounds like someone who lost at the casino felt like they needed to vent and let out some steam. Some people really need some help with mental health and an intervention so they could stop gambling

100% on point.
It's funny how much time and energy people spend to create such nonsense.
If they would use this for their own benefit they would maybe not be that much of a downer.

Go to work, make more money, and then you can lose it again.  Grin

LOL this is very funny and his head is in a jar like a pickle.
Yep I will really be a big news to everyone here and to the mainstream media since Eddie is considered a celeb already.  It would be on the front page of every news page sayin "CEO Staked his head".

Looking down its page, another article says Stake.com Denies $100,000 Payout After $250,000 WIN!
This angus writer indeed has an axe to grind prompting him to write all these. It's no wonder the guy is writing some stupid stuff.

If this is true popular mainstream media will cover this news because Eddie is a big name the CEO of Stake.com, but it was spotted in Medium which is an article-sharing site where anyone can create an article even fake articles.

Eddie can file defamation or cyber libel against whoever wrote this article, checking the article it is now deleted, of course, he knows the repercussion, Eddie has a battery of lawyers if he pursues the case he can catch the perpetrator.

No i am not implying that this is funny, nor do i try to be funny. It is extremely likely (if not certain) that OP is the one who made the medium article. Even if he is not, the person making that made that post needs some help with their mental health.
I'm sorry that I come of to you as mad, it's just that whenever something unhinged happens and people use mental health as a low hanging fruit excuse to their behavior, it's just that there's evil but sane people out there and I don't think not everyone can be helped by a mental health professional because they're not crazy, they're just a plain old pieces of shit that do evil shit to unnerve other people.

Nice try but I think Stake itself should have been the one to deliver the message if something like this happens, hope you'll faced some charges if your identity will be known. This isn't just a simple make-up news, it's something like you're wanting for this to happen or create confusion.

You created an account just to post this news that, according to the link you posted, this article was created 2 days ago, but before you posted it on this forum you didn't check if other sources had any confirmation or if you are facing a case of fake news. I suppose you are the one who must have written this article and your hate is so much that it is blinding you to the point that you haven't bothered to see if Eddie is active on any social network or not. You immediately rushed to publish this news that was supposed to create panic among people and thereby harm the casino. This was your plan from the beginning. Did you know I was posting fake news?

but your plan was that this fake news of yours would take time for people to discover, as a result the panic would be spreading to the point that the casino would be harmed. I see you being a sick guy, you need help immediately, because you have become obsessed with this casino and Eddie, let the guy live his life. If you have problems with the casino, then go to court. But it's wrong to keep making fake news like that, that's a crime. look at what you are becoming. you are becoming a monster

The fact that you think about these horrors that you mentioned in your article already shows that the level of your illness is serious, your obsession is turning you into a maniac, you are now even wishing for someone else's death. You're getting murderous. and it won't take long for all the people who live with you to move away from you, because they won't put up with your bad behavior.

This outrageous news and needs to be report to Stake management since this is already a death threat. Eddie identity is known in the public so his face and address can be dox which makes a heinous crime is really possible.

The author seems like too persistent to do a damage against Stake by using fake news and plan violence agains Stake owner. This is the worst sign of gambling problem.

This fake propaganda is running to damage the platform. We will never believe this and you will not believe this propaganda. This propaganda is created to harm the platform.

That's pure propaganda and he just want to confuse those people who play at Stake for posting that information. And come to think about that there's no other info release on other media sites since if there's big scope like this for sure they write an article about it since they want engagement for their sites. At first glance you might get caught up by story but if you search for more information about it you can figure out that this news is just a hoax and OP is just fabricating stories here.

And since many people notice that the information they read coming from this thread is so fake then for sure it cannot harm the platform he's targeting on since he is busted easily and didn't succeed on his plan to destroy the reputation of Stake.

Wondering what's next action after this and for sure these people gets a hard time to convince people here since to many forum users are so resourceful for searching more valid information's.

I do not know who this person is, who is trying to impersonate cnn, but it's probably a child or someone with the mind of a child.

This kind of fake article is obviously some kind of revenge tactic against stake, for whatever reason. I would say the same person who wrote this article is posting now on this forum, trying to get people's attention. Why do I think this? Because its a two day old article from a nobody medium account and 0 attention. How did OP find it so easily?

Stake could press charges for defamation and cnn could join in and press charges for using their name. Kids on the internet really think that they are anonymous until the letter from the lawyer comes, lol.

This guy is nuts to the head. Are you that desperate to be noticed by the stake team that you're going to fabricate these stories? Take your case to the right channels and maybe, someone will dare listen to what you will say. Fabricated stories everywhere just to smear the name and image of a casino far bigger than them. I have no doubt that this mischievous act was carried out by someone who has been recruited by a competitor who sees stakes as a big threat to their existence in the gambling industry. They think creating such fud would make gamblers discouraged and do away with the casino but I think they made a mess of themselves by doing this.

Whoever made this should stop gambling and making articles like this out of their frustrations. I'm gambler and I don't wish someone ill and going to the point like this that's making a thread which is likely a false article.

If there's one to confirm that, it's Eddie's personal profile or his stake family. And there's no one to confirm that or post it on their official announcement thread. But then, there's no need to get serious with these fake news that's being spread whoever is behind that article.

And what if Eddie gets serious and tries to bug you seriously by determining and tracking who you are and filing a case like libel?

Yeah, it's been going for a while know, even personalities like Putin, who was reported dead because of heart attack. And then Denzel Washington followed by Robert Downey Jr. So we shouldn't take everything seriously of news of someone famous being dead. We need to verify it first because there's a lot of social media around us. And those people are using this kind of news for clout, clicks and others to make money. It's just sad that they have to involved the CEO of Stake.com here. However, it is not true obviously. And I will say that we should refrain from this kind of posting in my opinion as this is very bad.

Some people joke too much on social media, and this person have taken this kind of play or what ever the intention might be very far, with the links and details others provided I still went ahead to check on their social media pages and even make a quick google search to see if such news is valid but no, this person even went as far as editing a CNN news to make it look more real that the young billionaire CEO is gone.

This kind of news is something that can’t even be hidden from the public without it even happening just an attack to his residents can trigger a reaction which few media could have taken note of, I will just advice who ever the person involved in this is to just take it done and focus on the right ways of getting their funds back that’s if the amount he claims is real.

If you check the account that posted the article you’ll see that they already created one concerning how stale.com denied them of their withdrawal, so this should be nothing more than a fabricated story probably to press fud about the casino since it will put the idea that the casino will shutdown since the owner faced such a tragic incident.

I won’t be surprised if you’re the one behind medium account that made the article.

Guess the author of both Medium articles (original poster of this thread?) must not be the smartest man on this planet : I guess it would not be difficult for stake management identify who is the author of this fake news ( death threat in disguise maybe) also jusding by the emails exchanges he had with Stake support mentioned in first article , assuming it is a genuine one and not a total bullshit like the second.

It seems OP knows very well how to spread fake news. It's quite obvious that the story they shared is from their own account. There's no doubt that this is not true; it's so evident that there's no need to ask if it's real or not. It's clear from the first glance that this news is fake, and the sources are not reliable. This is quite a low act of defamation. I think it's obvious that the OP created this thread considering the medium/twitter account has no followers, otherwise, how would the OP have found out about it, and why the brand new account?

I actually believed this for a second and was shocked, considering how many issues there are about Stake and the lack of attendance from Stunna / Edward in terms of complaints to date. The reality is that he's probably sitting in a very fine position somewhere and neglecting the problems with the business.

I'm sure the OP won't come back but I think that they should be tagged for a severe act of misinformation anyway.

I can understand how rageous this person must have been for the denial of their withdrawal from stake platform but this action is a bit too far, it could be considered a life threatening situation, and the law will be forced to go on hunting after those who are behind this mess, like why would anyone went this far?

The crazy thing is stake don't just deny you from withdrawing on their platform, something must have happened that make them do that, stake is one of the most trusted online gambling platform out there and they are always transparent more than every other casinos.

This online casino is also one of the few ones that don't deny you after winning several times in a role on their platform, some others will block you off their platform for winning several times but not stake. This is not funny at all as I don't understand what this maniac plan to get out of this, it will just caused a manhunt on him or whoever they are.

True, if he had an issue with stake and eddie because of the $250k then he better hire a lawyer or choose other civilize way than write a hoax like that.
What for? A threat for eddy? Nah, Im pretty sure eddie will only smile when he read that, and life goes on.

And yes eddie can report the guy if he wants, I guess its not that hard for the police to trace the guy with all of the information eddie has now.
Well, you are right, for a person to gamble away $250k, such a user must be a high roller and must have gone through a KYC verification process on the casino, Eddie can possibly submit that information to the police who will also use it to track and arrest whoever is behind this hoax. Such a write-up is an indirect threat to the life and business of whoever is involved, which in this situation is Eddie.

Anway's, I highly doubt that Eddie would even see this, except someone sends it directly to him, and by way, i personally believe that anybody who is running a business like a gambling casino, should already be used it such threat and hoaxes as this, so maybe just like you said, you may probably just laugh it off and forget about it when he sees it.

Sounds like someone who lost at the casino felt like they needed to vent and let out some steam. Some people really need some help with mental health and an intervention so they could stop gambling

I won’t be surprised if you’re the one behind medium account that made the article.
As funny as this may seem, i think you are right, i just checked the medium profile that posted the article and discovered the profile have no single person following it, even though the profile claims to be chief correspondent to CNN Australia, what a lie  Grin.

The op is probably the one behind this fabrication of a news. it's just that the said medium profile is worth nothing, else, i would have suggested that Eddie press charges against that profile to be deleted and the Ip associated with the account banned for live from ever joining medium again, such a lie is too serious to be taken lightly or waved off.

This is not looking funny. I think the security personnel should go in for the culprit of this news. If there are allegations of withdrawal issues then to proof by document is the best thing to do and not to make things look messy on media like it is all to the attempt to distract customers.

I just withdrew yesterday without any problems at all so this is not funny at all trying to instill fear out of nowhere for people playing mostly only at Stake casino like me and many others.I doubt though Stake relies only on one person to conduct business in any circumstances and this is just a really bad way of trying to get attention away for some moments and getting people into panic mode.

The denial of withdrawal happens only if you have broken some rule or you are not KYC verified,I am level 2 verified and my withdrawals no matter what amount up to 50k are instant.

I think it is just sick to post a hoax like this on social media, no matter what your reasons are. Stake.com have recently been hacked by a North Korean hacking team and they stole over $40 000 000 from their wallet, so things like this are real.  Angry

I hope law enforcement will take this "death" threat seriously and they will charge whomever are behind this. I also hope this is not some marketing stunt that are pulled for Halloween, because I see a photo has been posted with a person holding Eddie's head in a glass bottle under his arm.  Roll Eyes

Imagine, using a fake identity from someone who works on CNN.

Meanwhile from the post @Cantsay, It's clear he just a butthurt because he got a problem on (Stake) and that's how they're acting. If he real, why not just posted it on (CNN) ? why in some random account ? ~XD.

Anyway, it's easy to create these (Just go to CHATGPT). I just check the article on various AI-Checker some of them got 50% mix check and some of the result are (AI Detect) article.
