You can just hide signatures with by chrcking a box in Look and Layout Preferences.

OP wants to ignore users who post nonsense to promote sig campaigns, so no, hiding signatures doesn't help.

I really would like to ignore user based on their signature. Most of them just spam nonsense only to get a higher payment.

Could something like this be implemented ?

If the signature campaigner is just spamming some threads then it is up to the campaign manager to take them out of the campaign, before you apply to be a campaigner you need to adhere to the rules that you must not spam, once you do you will be taken out of the campaign, and beside you can always ignore there is a button for that..

I really don't understand why people complain about signatures in the first place. There are enough newbies / Jr members without signatures that post the same kind of nonsense that signature wearers do.

you know, most likely they are new accounts from the said spammers to make more sig spam $$  Cheesy

Even very active/high ranked members here on the forum who are heavily pretending to be against signature campaigns have alts enrolled in signature campaigns to earn some money.

I wouldn't use DannyHamilton's list. It's a pretty ruthless list and he seems to ignore pretty much everyone with signature ads, regardless of their post quality. You'd probably be hurting your experience more by using that list, compared to just ignoring users that you find spammy.

That's actually Danny's list. Make one of your own.

Plan B: Check Disable ads on your profile settings.

That's only for Hero Members and up (including donators and VIPs, I think).

That plan is for OP who's a hero member. (Check the link)

1. Try this script

2. Ignore users based on DannyHamilton's ignore list.

3. Enjoy the ad free, spam free forum.

Ugh. I didn't say that but him having the same avatar is confusing. Shorena isn't on his list though as far as I'm aware. If you check Danny's latest post in that thread there's a list of users with signatures but who make notable posts  (though maybe he still ignores them).
I'm sorry about that, I was confused by the avatar as well.  Tongue But there are, or have been, some users on his list that I don't think should be on that list.

Funny how he has categorized the guy, who has made a 96 page tips thread where its only he who spams replies one after the other in the thread, as someone who makes notable posts.

Wow, those gambling threads are really bad.

I've been building up my own ignore list one by one, looking at a poster's previous posts before I decide. Danny's list looks a bit of an overkill.

I was surprised to see a really helpful poster on that list - Shorena.

That is the most ridiculous list ever. People get listed when they are not all spammers or post al trash. This was mine reaction in that topic. Such guys create only hate on a public forum. I am also on the list and so I don't call myself a spammer or whatever that guy is thinking.

Most ridiculous list ever you will find always people who not post the way you like it. Even I don't care who you are that you make a day job of posting names on a public forum. Yes I am also on this list and I am not a typical spammer like you can see in mine forum history.

Why are you asking people to use your list. Not all people on that list are spammers and post only crap. Sad you treat people on a public forum this way.

I was on that list last I checked as well.  OP if you use that list you'll be missing out on some of the most profound shit you've ever read in your life, second only to the Unabomber's manifesto--but only if you don't delete me from it.

There is already an signature blocker available. Also bit ridiculous to block all people who wear a signature campaign from a specific campaign. People who are really spamming fits a signature ban more then your idea. People can also have different reasons to choice another signature then you prefer by your own.

You can use DannyHamilton's ignore list: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/my-personal-ignore-list-973843

I am on that list too, sadly. Embarrassed

And it looks like you'll be too, if and when you join one as anyone who wears a signature is added to that list, with the exception of a few.

You could do it manually, and its possible, you could even use a custom userscript with tampermonkey to delete people from your perspective of a thread if they have a certain signature.

But I don't see why youd want to, some people actually have good quality posts, so it's better just to get a signature remover.

There are a few campaigns that promote spam, I really dislike it and would be happy to block them altogether.

Could something like this be implemented ?
