Hi guys,

There is new starbucks centre opened in my area so I am going to try it soon. I have seen starbucks credits are traded on bitcointalk marketplace so I would also like to try those but I have no experience in using gift cards or such credits so I have some questions.

1)  I am from India, can I purchase starbucks credits here and spend it in store in my area?

2)  What precaution should I take while dealing?

3)  What are the usual rates & discounted prices of gift credits?

4)  Whatever you would like to tell.

Please do help me to understand this Smiley

Starbucks is not a place to go for coffee; rather a place to go for a lifestyle.  Starbucks has a philosophy of paying a living wage to their employees (as well as medical insurance) which is why the coffee is much more expensive than at local, Indian shops.  By stealing from Starbucks, which is essentially what you are doing when buying these heavily discounted cards, you are undermining their goodwill in the community.  By all means, if you like burnt-tasting, overpriced coffee, go to Starbucks and enjoy the atmosphere but you could simply go down the street to the local coffee/tea shop and pay 1/3rd the price (or less) for a better tasting beverage.  This way, you don't need to purchase heavily discounted (read stolen) Starbucks's gift cards in order to afford a cup of coffee.

Thank you sir, much helpful. I loved it, they differentiate between product and brand. I am impressed by the stories where brands never ever emphasize on their products but they highlight the unique factor of which they represent or for whom they exists. People won’t remember products but they remember brands and that’s the same with starbucks, this is what I concluded.
