DooMAD, it is known that in fact such ventures actually work on the principle that the whole thing is kept alive for as long as the money arrives, that is, the new customers pay the old ones and the owner keeps the commission for himself. What they are really building their strategy on is offering fairly low input packages, from say $10+ where ROI is relatively easy to reach. After that, they try to convince the buyer to invest more money with the promise that they will earn more. This is where the story usually changes, with the alleged problems with the devices, with increasing difficulty in mining, electricity costs...

DooMAD, nothing has changed about it, it all comes down to a lot of nice promises and easy money, based on the myth that BTC is the magic money of the internet that can be made by mining. But why buy expensive devices and consume your electricity when there is an easier way to mine in the cloud, which is a great idea for beginners who think they will make a fortune if they invest $100 or less.

It's always wise to learn from other people mistake, and there are thousands of testimonials from those who have lost their cloud mining investment over the years. The fact that such a thing exists today tells us that there are still naive and ignorant people, and that there are still those who profit on their behalf.

Okay, that's what I thought, heh.  Good to know.  I can't imagine ever getting mixed up in such a scheme, but it's reassuring to get confirmation and hopefully instructive for the less experienced, too.

I've been around for a while and I've still yet to hear of a legitimate or reputable cloud mining operation.  I'm happy for someone to correct me if my information is outdated, but I'm still working on the assumption that all cloud mining is a scam.

There's Genesis Mining that existed since 2013, but there are still mixed reviews about it. The main concern is about the profitability.

It depends on your budget. IF you have less than $100 then you can try cloud mining. Most of the cases cloud mining accept $10 investments. You should be careful of your investments as there are many scammer around the globe. Other ways to earn is by referring your cloud mining sites. Post on many forums, blogs, social media sites to gain referrals. Referrals are the key if you have less budget.
Legit way to earning from mining by mining using hardware etc. But these are expensive for newbies.
Also, mining Altcoin is a better choice. It is your own judgement to choose what currency you will mine. You can try exchange site for mining. Remember most sites have their minimum requirement or limit for withdraw Crypto.

The OP specifically asked for BTC mining, don't mine BTC with an FPGA... Even if you have free electricity, you'll never ROI (break even for your hardware cost in this case).

FPGA's are great for GPU minable altcoins, not for ASIC minable (alt)coins

Any good guide to Bitcoin mining should start by emphasising that getting involved with mining Bitcoin nowadays is a serious undertaking.  It is not something you enter into carelessly.  Many people still assume that mining is an easy way to make money, but you can actually lose money if you buy the wrong hardware or fail to correctly calculate the cost of your electricity.

Make absolutely sure you know what you're doing before you invest in any mining equipment.

Can anyone please  reply on thi spost on whats the best way to mine btc  ?

Pools or hardware miners or  how

To do mining you need bitcoin miners, to mine with CPU or with video card is impossible nowadays. If you want to take a look at some new bitcoin miners you can take a look at:

https://shop.bitmain.com/

To calculate how much you can get with each miner you need to calc how much will be your electricity bill.

As a beginner, you should try some other faucets, like earning free bitcoin, you may try some other websites like -snip-
Why do you think faucets are related to mining? That's totally different than what he's asking.
That's also a way of exposing newbies to dangerous ponzi-advertisements that those faucets usually tolerate.

It's worth mentioning (since it's close to the topic) that the fourth 'name' that you've mentioned is just a browser with "browser-based cryptominer"
that uses your CPU for other purposes (usually mining RandomX algo), not really Bitcoin mining.

Also you will need to connect the ASIC Hardware (miners) to a pool(s) to be able to earn BTC. You will need a BTC address/Wallet that you want your earnings to be sent to. There are lots of wallet providers available.

Be aware miners are hot, noisy and will require maintenance/cleaning on occasion. You won't be able to have them in a home. Well, unless you have Gekkoscience hardware which are for hobbyists mainly.

You could read at least the bold part from https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-mining-intro-rules-of-this-subforum-read-before-posting-2415854
For Bitcoin mining you basically need:
* ASIC hardware (Bitcoin / SHA ASIC) and not too old (the very old models are also kinda useless); this can get quite expensive
* extremely cheap electricity
