You can submit your issue directly to the coinbase support and I think it would be better if you can contact them as soon as possible. And also check your wallet if the trx are gone because if it does you might just lost your $6,200. But still I would strongly suggest to contact the support.

Really sorry to hear about your loss sir, It's quite complicated because the chance to get a refund into your wallet is not high.. they might ignore your ticket. Try to forget about the loss, have some faith and work harder to get more than them, it's possible and never lose hope, join some bounties and work on translations.. Here's the bitter truth. You will not get your coins back. Its Lost and Coinbase will never help you. Most of the top level exchanges and wallets make it clear that if you send unsupported coins to their wallets, they will not help you recover them.

I'm going to be completely honest with you, the chances that Coinbase will do anything for you are very low.
Checking their support pages, they're pretty clear that sending ICO to your Coinbase ETH wallet will result in loss of coins.

I've also taken the time to check if there were any similar situations in which users did get their ICO tokens back... I didn't find any success stories.

You should still try contacting support and hope for the best. Just remember that they are not obliged to help you.

1) The first mistake is to use Coinbase. You have zero control over private keys, so, no way you or any of us can do anything about it if things go wrong.
Start using "www.myetherwallet.com"

2) If I'm not mistaken, TRX is still not supported by coinbase. But if it's, then things are much easier, send them an email anyway and tell the situation in a short and precise message (don't overexplain, they will ignore it).

If trx is a type of coin that follows the ethereum address/private key generation rules contact coinbase. I found their support a few weeks ago, they took about a fortnight to respond to my simple ticket on a missing transaction. Will update when I find the support info.

Don't ask for the private keys, just ask for them to return the coins to the address they came from.
