I think it will be very difficult to be able to get your assets back, because indeed it is purely from the mistakes you made, so that the Coinbase will easily get out of hand, and they also will not be able to do anything, especially if the asset has been in WD to a private BCH address the recipient, the only way you have to track the account holder and maybe you will be able to get your assets back, but we know that is impossible in the world of cryptocurrency and the possibility of your BCH return is 1%.

if the problem you have is still within the scope of the exchange then you can report it by providing evidence so the team can take care of it. because the error of sending funds in my opinion is quite detrimental to you, even though your own mistakes. so try to contact the exchange support to get your funds back

Well, the first is purely based on your mistakes and not on the company's part.
except if the mistake is made by the company then, they will be responsible for it but you need to show strong evidence if you are the owner of the asset.
and maybe you can't do many things to return your assets back, unless someone who receives your assets voluntarily sends it back to your wallet, but this is not possible.

In such cases, contacting the support will give a chance to you for recovering the lost funds. If you can convince the Coinabse support team members, they will gladly help you, otherwise forget about the wrong address sent BCH. Private keys are necessary for spending the BCH form that addresses.

Not sure about coinbase but I have made similar mistake while using Binance while making transaction to my friend and I though it would be reversed automatically which did not happen hence I had to reach out to the supporting team who made some verification and asked my friend to deposit a particular value to him Binance account just to verify it's not a made up story and then they reversed it in couple of days. Please reach out to support team with the recipient's details at the earliest.

Hello everyone, I really need help of experts here.

Please answer it only if you are 100% sure.

I today sent Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin Address by mistake. I have sent it through Coinbase and the person receiving too has Coinbase account. It shows transaction is completed and amount is sent. So now please help me as what can I do? Is there any way to restore or Claim it?
ah this is a fundamental mistake and very risky, you should immediately send a coinbase support ticket or contact coinbase telephone number directly and tell me everything, including proof of transaction, tx hash, screenchot or anything deemed necessary as proof, and so as not to repeat itself You should as well read first https://support.coinbase.com.

Go to coinbase support and send a ticket explain what your problem and send a prof screenshot or tx hash. Because only coinbase support will help you on this problem.

But i think your chabce to claim,  refund this to you is very low because i already experienced this problem also bit not in coinbase.

Try to use their telegram account to reach them so they can help you how you can reclaim your coins. I never experienced that before but you have to atleast do the necessary options. Better to try something than doing nothing. I hope the coinbase team will help you as soon as possible.

Write to coinbase support, what's the problem? Think they will be able to help in this case, technically this situation doesn't look too bad I think. This money is still in their wallet.

That was a bad story...their support is the only hope that you can reclaim your token back( if they would like to give support).
The problem is of the owner of that address already transfers the funds to the other account outside Coinbase. In that case, you'll never get it back.
yes usually by contacting support on the website can have the opportunity to be able to get back what has been sent but the possibility is only small because if the recipient's wallet that you sent earlier did not approve a refund it might be difficult.

usually if you have made a mistake sending a address that is not your destination you can be sure will disappear without a trace, true colleague said above about this that you will not get back.
but if you have received a reply from them and you feel that you want to try, it never hurts if you will do that and usually takes quite a long time. now back to you if you want to continue and try it.

I just received response from them - Here it is -

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Coinbase. As Coinbase experiments with expanding into more markets, there will be varying levels of support provided. Initially, Coinbase will only offer self-help customer support in your region.

For more information on what support is provided by region, please visit the following help pages:

International Support for Coinbase
International Support for Coinbase Pro

Thanks,
Coinbase Support

Can anyone tell me what should I do next?
The mail says it all. Did you go to the pages they told you to have look at? Find your region over there and you probably will get a different support address of your region. Contact them and let them know what happened in details. They will try their best. How much did you send? If its a really low amount, I don't think its worth all the hassles you will go through. If its some significant amount, the be prepared to be really patient with their support system. They might take days to reply and it might take months to get your coins back (still its worth trying).

What happens if I send Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address?
At this time, Coinbase has already credited accounts who received any BCH at their existing BTC addresses. Going forward, we cannot guarantee that funds will be properly credited when one asset is sent to the address of a different asset. Please make sure that you only send funds to the specific deposit address displayed in your Coinbase account for the asset you are sending. You can view a list of these addresses, or create a new one, by visiting this page.

If you have sent BCH to an external address that was used only for BTC, you will need to obtain the private keys for that address and import them into a BCH wallet in order to access the funds stored there. Coinbase does not support the importing of private keys.

There is no way to get your money back because if bitcoin has been sent to the recipient's wallet address. Bitcoin has moved to the recipient's wallet address
I think what the colleague said above is true, because if it's wrong to send it will undoubtedly be hard to come back besides there is good intentions the recipient wants to return which is very unlikely and don't expect much. but this does not play down your role in trying to find the best way.

If the amount is greater than 0.1 BTC it will worth to contact with the support of Coinbase and explain the situation in detail. It looks like, the private key is necessary for spending the Bitcoin Cash. If you can convince the support guy in Coinbase, taking the private key of the sent address will solve the problem.

I have the same experienced with another exchange and that unintentional mistake ended up unsolved which is really frustrating despite reporting my mistake to their support. The last resort that you have is to reach out to their support team and hope that things would get better. Just learn from that mistake.

I guess your only shot would contacting the support team. They can help you with that, I think but I am afraid to tell you that the coin might be lost already and the team might either be willing or not to send you the lost amount.
BTC Cash and BTC are different.

Already did and above is their response. Which from what I understood means there is no support.

I think the money you have can't be returned because when you make a mistake when sending assets to others then it will never be able to return again unless you know who the owner of the wallet is and is willing to return it to the sender's address, only in that way and nothing another way.

If you send in a wrong address.  If that address does not belong to anyone or has not been created till date.  Then after 30 days your Coinbase account will be returned. This incident also happened to me.

I think that there will be no way for you to get your money back. You've made a mistake that many newcomers make, and there's no way you can fix that mistake because the nature of blockchain is irreversible. But you should send a support ticket to coinbase, and wait for the results from them. But I think it will not be too feasible

Contact them via support.Maybe they will refund you within 30days.I did something same in 2018. And contacted them and they told me that they will refund me after 30days,and this is auto Process.

So in any case there is a chance that when you send on another different blockchain they can still manage to recover it? But Im sure unlike bitcoin and from eth situation the case is different cause this one might still be can since bitcoin cash is a fork of bitcoin right? So if you send an eth to a bitcoin the process will be confirm but the tokens will not be credited? Or the process will be void but the tokens already gone? Kinda confusing.

You actually made a huge mistake and need to be careful about your transfer subsequently. If it was an exchange, the amount could have be forfeited, because I know some exchange are very strict on retrieving funds sent in error. You only need to open a support ticket and hopefully. You'll get the issue rectified. Best of luck.

There's no way to retrieve your coin other than sending ticket to coinbase and the support due to the irreversible nature of decentralized blockchain. There are also fair amount of thread created in reddit regarding mistakes like this and honestly, so many similar cases there left unsolved but each cases may differ and seeing from your explanation you're literally just sending it from a coinbase account to another. But, I'd suggest to hope for the best but expect the worse. There are chances you might need to go through lengthy negotiation with coinbase though.

Because something like this is absolutely an unintentional mistake, try to contact the coinbase and tell this incident to them, who knows they can help you with something like this.
I think bitcoin cash and bitcoin have the same address and you not worry when you sent your bitcoin cash using bitcoin address because your balance will arrived in your account, but I don't know if you use coinbase wallet as your destination for sending because I only use local exchange market where have the same address wallet.

You are just going to receive the same answer over and over again.
Thankfully you are using an exchange with good services.
So I bet they will just be looking for proofs from you and then they could create a report about it.

You might really get it back since you sent it to a different blockchain.
Yes, the process will be a success but still it will be stuck in the exchange. Good for you.

If you write down the wrong address, it is non-refundable and there is no guarantee for it after the transaction is confirmed. if indeed the address you write is owned by someone, try to contact that person to prove that he received from you and tell him to return it to you and give him a reward for it. but if the error does not go to anyone, chances are your assets cannot be returned.

You should be careful in sending assets in Coinbase
and check the correct wallet address after sending it, maybe this has already been sent to someone else's Coinbase wallet so the first way is to send support to Coinbase so that it can be helped faster, if this problem cannot be resolved through ticket support then You have to erase it because it's your fault.

How can I find my Bitcoin cash that I accidentally sent to a Bitcoin address through Coinbase? The transaction shows completed, but it never got there.
I am sorry, but it is almost impossible to get the fund back because the wallet belongs to exchange. AFAIK, it will be possible to send back coins through private keys, but it is impossible for you to reach the private key.
I have experienced something like this once. I want to transfer my bch to an external wallet and enter btc wallet there. I was panicked, but then I searched for related articles and it turned out that I was not lost.
It turns out that my bch is still not there as long as I have the bitcoin private key wallet.

In what wallet you have sent those? if it is an exchange, you may contact them through ticket support and tell them what you have done. Is that bitcoin address yours or it is owned by another person?

Some exchanges will help you to reclaim it but I've read that there are others that don't.

I am using Coinbase and the person who sent me the Bitcoin address too is using Coinbase. It's owned by another person but it is known to me and he obviously hasn't received the payment.
That is good news, Coinbase is known for handling this kind of issue.

As I have told you, contact them thru support ticket and ask them politely to retrieve those coins.

Since that guy is also using coinbase and the only way for you to re-claim your bitcoincash to create a ticket support to the coinbase. if the address that already used by that guy is coming from the personal wallet that he can get the privatekey and it can be claimed easily. But since it was controlled by coinbase and the coinbase itself can fix this problem to access your BCH.
Just create more and more ticket.
The recipient, who is the receiver, definitely cannot own the private key and if he does, under normal circumstance, most especially for personal wallets, it cannot be retrieved, but since they are both on the same ecosystem, which is Coinbase, the support of Coinbase should be able to fix it. .
Although, in some cases, some exchanges might charge some fees to fix that.
The OP should just contact them and wait for response from them.
If they do not respond on time, do not give up, you just keep contacting them, but pls, do not use any other means that is not recommended by Coinbase, aside creating a support ticket, because you might get scammed if care is not taken.

Once again, do not give up.

Ticket support was a sort of failure since it wasn't attended by their admins promptly. Telegram support or any other chat support will be helpful instead of having ticket request. This is not real time, and it took more days before you've been given any further actions. Definitely a help will be accommodated at delayed response.

Is the amount that you've send is big or small. If it is just few dollars take it as a learning to double check before making a transaction. Right now the only way possible is to get the support from the team. Though the exchange is centralized, you confirm to make the transaction through 2FA which will be shown as a proof. Also once you open a ticket the receiving end will also be enquired, if he did not admit it as a money from unknown person the chances of receiving it back is low.

But since it was controlled by coinbase and the coinbase itself can fix this problem to access your BCH.
Just create more and more ticket.

Send a ticket explaining what happened, send also a link to the transfer browser and all that, maybe they will give you an answer.
