2.6.4 now also reports the port number when the API starts - so if something is going wrong there it will show that also.
I added that for your problem Smiley

(and his problem is unrelated, since your computer mines but you just cant get to the API)

Well when I had this problem 2.6.4 didn't exist Tongue

I have spoken with Kanoi and he seems to think it is a router issue.... (Kicks router)

I will be working on it some more this weekend.. I will upgrade cgminer versions... I usually do..

Thanks

I had this Problem on many Maschines with CGminer 2.6.3. The API Runs, but CG miner hangs.

With CGminer 2.6.4 ist all ok.

Thank you.

What is getting me is this all worked fine. Until the rig with the web server had to be reformated.

If it was linux it's easy to tcpdump and see where things are at the start and finish

There is a tcpdump for windows somewhere on the net ...

Basically you want to see the packet go out from the web server and see it arrive at the target machine

If it is the firewall - you could try just turning it off completely and see if that helps.

The tcpdump on the target machine would show if the packet actually got to it

Basically you need to know how far the packet got from the web server to cgminer to thus determine where the problem is

Getting this Error on one rig, other rigs are working fine.

I have 2 rigs at a friends, one at my house with the web server.

All settings in the miner.php are correct, config file settings are correct. I have updated the router (DIR-615) with newest firmware and set port forwards. Windows firewall is set.

Any ideas from the community what my next step should be?

Thank you in advance

Andrew
