Admins don't accept eth messages. Only bitcoin signed message/PGP signed message.
Do you have a source for this?

I've never seen a conclusive answer from any mod/admin.

I read somewhere else too, I don't exactly remember where. I searched 5 pages in Google about it, didn't find anything else. But I am sure, I read something around those words.  Sad

if in my opinion you do not have to worry, because your account is already locked and it's safe, all you have to do is report to admin and hope the admin will respond quickly. because your account can be locked because someone will change your email and you will get verification in email, if it is not you then you will be able to lock your account with email and it is security using email in this forum, so in my opinion your account will be unlocked because it is very strange if you can lock your account for security but admin can not help you to unlock your account, so in my opinion maybe admin will send a link to compose your password in your original email (your email address when you lock your account).

I hope the admin also has an opinion like you, because I think your opinion has a clear logic.

Yeah, could you link me a list of accounts that have been recovered over the past 10 days? Fuck me, link me to the list of accounts that have been recovered over the past 2 months. What makes you think OP's an exceptional case that his account will be recovered on a priority basis?
Please quote where in my post I said that OP's case is either: a priority; going to be solved quickly; going to be solved at all.

If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile.

I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time.
Safe to assume signed message from an ETH address would be considered as an alternative way of proving ownership?
Again, you don't know. Nowhere in his post - or anywhere else (still waiting for pugman's source) -, he says that ETH signed addresses aren't accepted. Either OP can post his signed message and keep bumping it every couple of days/weeks or he can just give up and create a new account/leave the forum. Either way, he has nothing to lose.

*Implying that verifying an ETH signed message is harder than a Bitcoin one.*
That is not even close to what it implies. Illogical, irrelevant assumption.

Why would this help him? The account is already locked. Read the thread.
Oh never knew people can deliberately "lock" their own accounts. Finally, I see some useful functionality of the broken secret question feature.

EDIT: Quoted Theymos

Wait. If they accept your ETH signed message, you will get your account back. If not, then there is nothing you can do.

I would also post the signed message and bump the thread from time to time.

Stop giving them false hopes lol There are several accounts which have provided signed messages from a bitcoin address and they're months into recovering their accounts without any luck.
You don't know that.

I doubt admins will have time to verify ETH signed message.

What OP can do is, provide signed message to a DT member and get that account flagged until it is recovered (which is unlikely to happen tbh)
