Praise ye lord! My bitcoin have returned!

Thank you to everyone who replied, stopped me from having a heart attack.

Great to hear your good news. Grin

About the sync time, it is a bit long but you seldom need to go through it again (hopefully). Tongue

About the backup, as others mentioned, the wallet has only pre-generated 100 addresses. So, please make a backup from time to time, or you may increase the number of pre-generated address using the keypool option.

About the 100 addresses, one address is used whenever you create new address or send a BTC (used for change)

The wallet pre-generates the next 100 addresses that it will use.

When you create a backup, these 100 addresses are included in the backup.

As long as you've used less than 100 addresses after the backup, all your transactions should re-appear once the wallet is done syncing.

If you used more than 100 addresses after the backup, then the most recent addresses are no backed up, and you will have permanently lost some bitcoins.

Hello!
After you sinc your wallet the coins should be there. If you have some friend near there, try to replace his wallet.dat with yours, you'll see the coins are there. Don't worry.

Is your wallet still syncing? that could be the issue

allow it to fully sync (can take a lonnnnng time), but once done the coin should be there. Smiley

So my bitcoin QT application wont load now. When i try to open it, it quits unexpectedly.  I am using a Mac. osx 10.7.5

Anyway, my last backup was from about a month ago. I installed Bitcoin-Qt on another computer and did a rescan from my wallet.dat file and have recovered most of my coins, it is still sychronizing with network.

How can i recover the missing 30 btc that i have received since my last back up?

Please tell me this is possible, or this is going to be one of my most expensive fuck ups ever Sad
