You could make sure your antivirus or windows firewall isn't blocking the connection, did you download the file straight from the source and not a 3rd party site?

Check the log files in %appdata%\bitcoin - there will be sync and connection lines in the log files letting you know if any connections are being attempted.

As a an alternative that would be a bit time consuming since the blocks will have to re-download:
Delete the files from %appdata%\bitcoin but not the "wallet.dat" if you had any coins in there before.

Hi Guys,

First off, sorry for the caps in the title, just wanted to get your attention :-)

Basically, as I was installing the Bitcoin client/program on my PC, my computer crashed and when I force restarted, the wallet was 'out of snyc.'

Still is. Can't seem to find out how to fix it. I uninstalled the client and then re-installed. After re-installation, I was automatically out of sync. It didn't even try to DL, so I am guessing that w/e file installed to my comp from the first installation is still there ...

suggestions?

TYVM :-)
