Hey dude Not much help ?  WTF    its genius, I should have flushed armory asap at first trouble.

I think your are right, this Armory stuff is screwed beyond belief I've tried everything

Maybe for some people it works for them for certain functions, but in my case I've used it before and it worked at times

but was messed up, and now its totally screwed, the time has come to Bury Armory.

 Here we come ELECTRUM !

wish me luck, when I asked for ARMOY support I only got crickets, nothing, they can not even support it anymore.

Armory is Dying and dead !

I just hope to GOD that I can get my bitcoin money into Electrum still after all the hassle and non sense with armory.

I will report back if it works.

It's not much help but I would just try sweeping using Electrum then.

I just went to blockchain.info

it shows the paper wallet still has 0.19290248 BTC inside of it or about $1577 USD

this is after I typed in the public key

so I wonder why I am not able to sweep these funds into armory still ?

I do have the private key in Hex format

Maybe armory does not work

should I try to make and use another wallet that allows to sweep into more easily ?

any suggestions ?  I liked to use a wallet that does not require my drivers license social security number address

and all that personal stuff, I really like to stay anonymous or private online as much as possible

and rather not sign up to an all invasive wallet or bit coin company online

but armory seems to be not working right for me sadly

I am using ARmory version    Armory 0.96.3 Released

It says BETA on it too Hmmm...

sorry for so many posts, I just do not want to leave any potentially important details out

just in case

There was a message that says in Armory that Keys can not be swept into watching only wallets.

However I was not able to sweep earlier to Armory but instead it seemed to allow me to import

and it seemed to go through but no funds appeared.

I got a funny feelings that I might have screwed up something

this is so damn complicated to me.

following the above replies instructions I was able to get into bitaddress.org

and to print off the private key converted correctly as it matched the public key to my paper wallet also.

Then I went into my armory wallet and properties

tried to sweep but did not seem to work and was able to import the paper wallet instead

Now I have not seen any funds transfer I am wondering if I need to do something else or if I messed up something earlier ?

the balance is still  0.000

few days ago the mycellium app on my friend phone scanned the public key on the paper wallet and showed about $1,500 USD

but could not scan the private key

anyways

is there another way to check the balances or see its history of the paper wallet I imported or will it just take time for funds to appear ?

The night before I had searched base58 convert to HEX and had tried to mess with this private key online,

do you think my funds were stolen?   I tried        http://lenschulwitz.com/base58  linked from

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Base58Check_encoding

Is there anything I should do next to check if I can still gain access to the funds that were on my paper wallet ?

Hello!

I'd download https://www.bitaddress.org off github at https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org (or use their site directly if you're feeling like taking security chances but definitely not recommended!!), click on the Wallet Details tab (don't worry about the wallet generation stuff going on in the background).

Then enter your private key into the top field.

It then looks like Armory wants this value that's at the bottom of the list of info, so try pasting that into your Armory sweep?

Afaik, 52-character private keys are associated with compressed public keys and are in the base58 format. You can't sweep that easily with Armory, but you can convert the string of characters into HEX by using this: (would leave the link as is in order to prevent suspicion) https://github.com/matja/bitcoin-tool and just make sure you try to convert it offline since you are risking your money here.

Hello friends,

I bought a paper wallet it was made from a BTM Bit Access machine,

the QR Code became slightly worn

thus it was not possible to scan the QR code using mycellium

I use Armory wallet on my Personal Computer.

The Private Key under the QR code is easy to read

however was not accepted into Armory sweep,

the private key format is not HEX, I have no idea what it is

it is a 52 character private key starting with letter K

I do not own a cell phone, was using a friend cell phone to do this with.

Question is, how can I get my bit coin off the paper wallet

and into my armory wallet, without using a cell phone,

do I need to do something else to convert the private key

so that armory will sweep it ?

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much for reading, I am confused.
