I think when somebody do the first post a pop up should come "How to find your bitcointalk Profile". But still I do not think it will reduce these kind of threads because all these users will be good in ignoring the pop ups and still go on asking the question.

After opening your account click on the profile and then click for the second time on
Forum Profile Information
Now for the link of the account go to the top on browser and copy the link that is in the form of:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=XXXXXX;sa=forumProfile
For the id to check link : XXXXXX, the numbers that appear to you on the link of forumProfile is your id number.

right click on your name in this post. copy the link and this is your bitcointalk profile link..

Follow the instruction...click 1 and then 2 ....you will get the answer(3) on the top bar....

Click on ur profile ----- then left side there is a option "summary",click that----- copy the url till the now-- that is ur profile id

Click on the profile to show stats
Then you delete the "sa = statPanel" section then it is your profile url

In my case, my bitcointalk user ID is 998363.
