How exactly would you prefer the regulations to be written? Some in the academic world have said that the proposed regulations would create a bigger regulatory burden on businesses that exchange BTC for fiat then other money transmitters. Other then that I don't see anything that is over the top burdensome.
IMO the main point of the regulations is to prevent additional episodes like what happened with gox.
