Sorry i didnt include a link in the first post.

I used this post as a guide

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5614/using-dumpprivkey-to-make-a-paper-backup

As long as you have the backup of your existing data (I ended up taking a copy of the entire folder in the app data directory, just to be on the safe side.) you can play around all you like :-)

Also I have read about not needing to redownload the blockchain, but im unsure of this route as i went for a completely fresh wallet.

Hopefully the guide should do what you need.

If you run into problems and post them here, If i dont reply please do PM me (threads get buried so quickly on here its hard to remember where i was trying to help people :-) )

Hi.
I have one transaction of send 33200 DOGE to Cryptsy stuck in my wallet for 10 days now.
I tried redownloading block chain etc but it didnt help.
When i log to doge oficial block chain explorer page i see it as it is on my accouint balance but it isnt in my wallet and when i try to check
transaction id it says it doesnt exist. PLZ PLZ HELP
I mined this for like 15 days :-(

If the wallet is screwed up you can always export the private keys for the wallet, then create a new install of the wallet with a fresh wallet.dat file - then import the keys into the new wallet and let the block chain resync.

I had a similar issue with one of my wallets and the export/import seemed to resolve the issue.

*WARNING*

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A COPY OF YOUR CURRENT WALLET AND DATA! - it may not be working properly at the moment and there may be other suggestions on how to fix it, so make sure you have a copy of things before you start to play with them!

Hope it helps (sorry if it doesnt >.< )
