Ok sorry about that, I had no idea. I just noticed the word whitelist and thought it may help. You can have the user buy a copper membership or attempt to get whitelisted. The odds that the number will be changed is very slim.

Sorry about the outdated information, can you try whitelisting this user to make the escrow continue? I have no idea how, but it looks like a thing.

if I can do that I will now.

No you can't, here is why:

You are automatically whitelisted if you buy a copper membership. You don't need to wear the copper membership, just own it. You can also be whitelisted for free by any staff member and a few non-staff, but we're going to need some reason to think that you actually deserve it. Do not ask me for free whitelisting.

There are countless apps and services that you can use. Pm in that case should be used as, one who's interested in the services, would ask for a contact and what's he looking for in a few short lines and you respond with your contact. I don't know why's this so much of a problem.

It is a problem in a real world situation for me right now. The buyer wants to release the escrow but can't because the pm limit per day is 2. At this point the pm limits has turned this 1 day transaction into 3. In that time the price has dropped a little too. Making the entire situation not worth dealing with at all in the future

The limit of 2 PM per day is set for a reason, that to make spamming more difficult, as theymos said, and for those type of deal that involve escrow you can always do them in public,

Looking into it, it looks like they can get 5 PMs per hour, can you tell me where you got this other information?

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult.

You are totally correct. I am not sure if this change would ever happen, but it definitely would be nice.

I agree. I would say 5 is the magic number. You can always use a different site however like Telegram or good old fashioned email.

The issue is that any communication with the escrow should happen on site. It can easily take more than 2 to just work out the details with a new user.

5 to 10 would make sense.

The subject basically says it all. The limits of 2x personal messages per day makes many transactions involving escrows and new users extremely slow. So slow that I will probably no longer deal with users that have those pm limits. I can understand some sort of a limit but 2? That seems extremely excessive.
