Kindly don't ban me. I have only been inquiring. Cry I just had a PM convo with my colleague in here and did know that the info I knew before talking to him is the old one.

And not only that, he's bumped two old threads.

Can't we just ban him if he is so desperate?

Why do I still get the below prompt?

"You have exceeded the limit of 10 personal messages per hour. Buying a Copper membership may increase your limit."

I appreicate you using the search function and making a reply instead of making a new thread, but I think you could have made a new thread in this case since this thread is 5+ years old. But if you would have read the first stickied thread you would have found your answer

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult.

In the event of a dispute or fraud all of the evidence is authenticate by the same service providers. IRC and e-mail logs are easily forged but the forum creates a third party record that cannot be easily faked.

That is why you use an IRC channel that is log independently of your own clients Wink

Wow the system works! Change can happen!  Shocked

For those suggesting going outside the forum to conduct business please consider the advantage of having all records of a transaction in the same place.

Previously, the 10 PMs per hour limit was all that prevented newbies from sending hundreds of spam PMs. But I recently changed the "time between posts/PMs" restriction so that new users have to wait 6 minutes between each post or PM. So the low PMs per hour limit is no longer necessary.

Learn to use IRC Wink how i get most of my business done

Switch platforms constantly, don't want the lack of forum at my hands and ... excuse etc.. :p

Why not just remove the limit after X amount of post or hour logged in or a combination thereof.

Not to mention there is no indication as to when you might be able to restore PM access - it's just a flat "sorry!" Sad

How is one to do business here with this insane PM limit? I know we can exchange contact information, but sometimes I neglect the messages a couple hours and have to have a couple conversations without thinking. Next thing you know I'm in the middle of it and I'm locked out for a solid 30-50 minutes depending on how unlucky I am. Plus it's downright irritating to have to get ahold of every single person's info and write them in e-Mail when that's what this forum is for - to connect us and allow us to talk. I am not spamming anyone, I am having legit conversations with voluntary individuals, so I just don't understand how we can't figure out a way to fix this issue. I am simply venting.
