You can look at Wordpress sites. They have many templates that are free or cost monies that have login access built in. They have free plugins for captcha and security features you can add.

They also have databases for a bunch of pre-generated bitcoin addresses for users. And the designs are super from some good artists.

You mean tax related? Are there other btc related law issues to think about? I had assumed btc was a pretty free market

It really depends on what it is your business does.  If you just sell things, it isn't an issue.  But of most common concern to btc businesses that are in the money service industry, are the anti money laundering regulations of FinCEN, and then state licensing requirements.

If once you get into it, and you want a detailed explanation of how these laws work and effect your business, shoot me a PM.  I've helped several business owners from this forum develop a plan to come into compliance with the law.

Make the prototype using fake data and giving fake results, while giving the illusion that the website is working. It will help you determine what are your needs and explain your idea to potential partners. It will also help structure your project.

Don't worry about your idea, the value is in how you execute your idea.

Be very careful of the legal ramifications of starting a bitcoin business as well, especially if based in the United States.

Thanks for your reply.

My idea is so simple that the niche it's related to could be filled in an instant.

I will have to divulge it at some point, but before I start telling people, I want to have something to show them. Just telling people about an idea doesn't get them as excited as showing them something. It doesn't need to be fully operational.

I think I'll be able to create at a webpage that at least looks enough like the finished product on my own, if someone can point me to some plug and play code that I can use. I know there are already developed account management systems available, allowing users to login and whatnot. If anyone knows of something like that, or of a template for making a btc wallet system, I would be grateful if you could point me towards it.

I think given the broadness of your description/request you'll get quite limited responses, at the same time I can appreciate not wanting to divulge your concept. What you describe is perfectly achievable given any front and backend-end web dev. skillset, which many people will likely have here as bitcoin is still in it's 'technical' phase of adoption. As you've explicitly stated that you're not totally comfortable developing it yourself, I think you're going to have to concede some of your concept to get people interested, and even then they may not be compelled to join your team, it's the startup catch 22. Me personally, bitcoin has peaked my interested, and given my background of being involved in tech-startups and system design, I'm somewhat interested in developing a service, but lacking further detail on your concept I have to say I'm apprehensive :/ Maybe send me a PM if your more comfortable, with some more detail and we can discuss.

I have an idea that I think will substantially increase the number of users circulating bitcoins.

The problem is I haven't built a website of any kind in many years.

I'm hoping someone on this forum with web development skills will be generous enough to answer some questions of my questions. Eventually I will be hiring developers and accountants. Obviously anyone who helps me now will get in on the ground floor Smiley

I'm trying to create a prototype of the website I want to make. I can't divulge the details of what the business will do yet, but maybe someone can answer some questions about how to execute the prototype. I'm labelling the project as "Swish."

The first hurdles are:

Step 1:

I need to create a website with a account login/password system. Are there plug and play systems available that will allow users to create Swish accounts?

Step 2:

Create online btc wallet features. The users will need the ability to send their btc to their Swish accounts and store them their prior to use. They, obviously, need to be able to send coins off of the site if they decide not to use the site as well. I assume there are already btc wallet systems that I can use for this. Can you point me in the right direction?

Step 3:

Ability for the users to transfer coins into the site's bitcoin account when they want to, with a text string box where they can enter information about what they want me to do with their bitcoins.

Thank you for your help. Please don't troll, even though I know this is a very trollable post. I promise this is going somewhere real.
