They may not ban all at once, but I suspect that they could be banning the bot accounts incrementally. I doubt they will leave the bot accounts as they are as it will be unfair for the valid players.

they have a "soft ban" feature already to help hinder bots. if they really wanted to pull the trigger on banning all botted accounts which i would imagine is still a big portion of their player base then they would have done it already. also i think they are not 100% sure if they want to ban all the accounts because some legit accounts may look like botting and vice versa. also the problem with spoofers, people who fake GPS but don't actually bot, that is another case.
They'll lose a lot of players if they ban before fixing their game and adding more deep features first. Right now the game is not mechanically deep and really not much to do, and thats why a lot of people dont want to waste their time going out and trying to catch a few pidgeys for a few hours instead of doing other things.

That's just a opinion. While I am not trading in POKE accounts, I don't think anything is going to happen anytime soon. They have to many bugs and other issues to deal with someone botting a virtual character.
I agree, they would have already ban botted accounts by now, if they wanted to.

I'm a admin at one of the bots that you guys use to make these accounts.Don't ask me the name for obvious reasons.You know that right a massive ban wave will kill all the botted accounts ? Niantic is just waiting for the right time!Accounts like yours with maximum XP in config.json settings are likely to be banned first.Anyone buying this shit would regret his $20 after whatever days of fun he will have with his cheated pokemons.
