This looks like a neat site.  I used to watch DVD's by Phil Hellmuth (the "Poker Brat") and learned a lot about poker.  I feel like poker isn't that complicated though, and there is an abundance of free information/videos on the internet that I don't see your site doing well.  Regardless, good luck and I hope you get enough customers to keep your business going.

i don't really like all these books and videos of "professional" poker players, i mean new player should learn on his own and don't use others strategies

but i am sure that there are also people that will like these books and will buy for bitcoins for sure, that's nice for bitcoin too

I read those books:

For begginers:
Phil Gordon's Little Green Book

Continuation from Phil Gordon
Phil Gordon - Phil Gordon's Little Blue Book
Phil Gordon - Little Gold Book

For grinders:
Small Stakes No-Limit Hold'em v1.0 by Ed Miller, Sunny Mehta and Matt Flynn

Really good one:
Every Hand Revealed by Gus Hansen

Classic, maybe outdated at some point:
Doyle brunson's super system

Phil Gordon seems to be the main guru when it comes to anything related to gambling. He teaches alot of what is tint and how to avoid it. Alot of psychological stuff in there also which helps.

Hey guys,

a short update with some great new (and free) content:

The 2nd part of our series 'Become a winning player at online poker' is online. The main focus of this new article lies on improving your mindset.

Even with the sharpest strategic understanding, the best handreading and a solid objective understanding of your edge against your opponents you still can get destroyed by a certain amount of badrun and variance if your mindset is not strong enough to handle the pressure.

This guide shows you:

- How to develop a solid mindset
- How to deal with bad variance and deviation
- How to create good poker habits
- How to play your A-game as long and as often as possible
- How to efficiently implement learned concepts into play

As you can see this is a must-read for every poker player! I hope you like it and it can help you to evolve your game! Smiley
Let me know what you think.

You can find the guide here: https://pokermarket.com/forum/thread/3978-become-a-winning-player-at-online-poker-part-ii-mindset/

I've talked to the staff and there is a good chance we add SWCPoker to our supported rooms. Do you guys have any infos about SWC? Is it a solid Bitcoin site or speaks anything against it? Or what rooms would you like to see?

that's great news !! SWC is a solid site and been around since long time and it's so popular here , it was my first bitcoin poker experience
they offer decent games even open face chinese , the traffic is kinda low but that's the main problem in btc poker in general
also maybe you can contact some of their twitch streamers , this will help to promote both sides and hopefully it's a win win
I hope that you will deal with Betcoin too , it's a part of the WPN which makes it a perfect deal for bitcoiners who want to play WPN MTTs and STTs with bitcoins without account verification and other complicated stuffs

I have checked the list and it's really great for people who are searching for free money to start grinding
unfortunately most of the bitcoiners here  are in the US , so this playlist won't help them cause these poker sites don't accept players from US
I hope that you guys will have partnership with bitcoin sites like betcoin and SWC , this would be really great to attract some people in your platform to bitcoins

Absolutely this. SWC was the main reason I got into bitcoin poker at all. I discovered it on a site kind of like yours, it offered a no deposit bonus and daily freerolls. I have referred many players to that site and its offers. So, it would for sure be a great addition to add the big bitcoin poker sites. Like me 2 years ago, some players don't even know bitcoins or bitcoin poker even exist.

jcarver does runitup . tv that is really good and free

There are some great resources just on youtube these days also.  Probably best to search via most recent date. Nothing like the old days where people had no clue of bet sizes at all.

Yes, there's a lot of old stuff which is useless for todays games. Miss the good old times but still can find enough weak players to make some money with a solid strategy. But you have to work a lot harder now. What stakes and sites do you guys usually play?

There is a guy on youtube called gripsed who is providing some recent training.  Ive not seen too much of his stuff but seems ok, some of his tips i found not so good tbh.

As for me i used to mass table low stakes cash back in the day, 100nl on stars most common, now i've mostly quit hopefully Smiley

Thanks, I'll check his stuff too. Never heared about him before.

Another new website with full informations about poker but some few features that needs to invest
Not really understand all of the feature why need to invest in your website?

You only have to invest money for videos or books you want to buy. The rest is free and you just need to register (and for some stuff even a registration is not necessary). But of course we would be happy if new people decide to join our community. Talking/discussing about poker is a great way to improve your game and it's free. You can post hands in our strategy section and get help from a bunch of strong poker players or start a blog and share your progress with others.

Best Regards,
Chris

jcarver does runitup . tv that is really good and free

Has anyone improved their poker game by simply reading poker literature and watching videos? I have always thought everything depends on variance and luck. Would love to read your experience.

Watching videos when they first opened cardrunners.com actually taught me how to play properly and win. Before that there were no video resources really and the games were super super easy.

Short term variance and luck is a huge factor. But long term skill is the key component to win at the tables. I've booked a few hours by a coach but most of the time I improved my game by reading books or watching videos.
Actually Poker is probably the only one casino's game where reading guides and tutorials will affect your wins.
I like to compare Poker with chess, I now these games are nothing alike as every information is visible on a chessboard right from the beginning, but you will probably lose at chess if you only know how to move with player who can play on higher level. The same is with poker, there are ways of doing things in poker which are better than randomly playing 'as I like'.

Besides that you can find some of the best rakeback deals on the internet and a continuously growing community.

sound interesting, and how can you sure this video work very good, and usefull for you?have you try to practice what shown on video?
wht about the price?its expensive because it reability?

Most videos are from well-known coaches/players who have a high reputation in the poker biz and are winning players for quite a long time. So there is definitely value in these videos. Not every video is good for every player. Of course a coach who plays Zoom $2.5/$5 in his videos isn't the best choice for a beginner, because he is playing against really strong and advanced players and you need a complete different strategy compared to micro stakes.

The price might look high at first, but if a video for 5€ helps you to fix 1 or 2 major leaks in your game you will get your money back really fast at the tables.

And as already mentioned in this thread, there is a lot of free content available. If you've never used videos/books/articles try out the free stuff first and look how this works for you. I am sure you will be impressed really fast. Smiley

I just visited your site all I can say at this point it looks nice.I think you should offer this service for free because this will help promote your site. All the best for you as well in new year.

As SyGambler already mentioned, it would be good to know what service exactly do you mean? We don't set a rate for the coaches or the video producers. They decide how much they want to take. The staking section you can use for free too. We don't take any fees. We just provide the platform. Everything else is up to the users.

Happy new year!  Smiley

hey pokermarket I don't know if you can help with this but I need your advice
I'm looking for STT coaching videos especially for 9max regular speed and how to move up in stakes , I got lost when I tried to search them
can you recommend me something which is really good ? is there any well-known person in pokermarket who is playing mainly STT 9max ?

Thanks for you interest. Unfortunately I couldn't find any video content or coach who has specialized on 9max STTs. At the moment there is more content/coaches in the cash game section, but I've found two coaches who still might be helpful to you.

Try to get in touch with them and describe your situation. Maybe they can help you or know someone who can. Sorry that there is not more I can do right now. You can also made a post in our forum. There a lot of players and I am sure you can get some good advices.

thanks for answering , I will make sure to check em

Good site! But there are many resources which offer the same for free.
I have used pokerstrategy.com some time ago. it offers a wide range of Poker videos - even from pros - for free.

I get your point, but it's not for free at Pokerstrategy too. You have to create an account on any of their offered poker rooms and play (generate rake). This leads to a higher status in their system and depending on your status you can watch the videos. Of course you do not pay directly for the content, but in the end it's the same. If you create an account through PokerMarket you collect "Tokens" and you can use them to buy videos and books: https://pokermarket.com/deals.php#/tokens

But thanks for your feedback and input! We really appreciate it! Give us some time to grow and evolve Wink We work really hard to build a great community for every poker player. Smiley

Okay guys, I am out for 2015. I wish you and your families a very Happy and Healthy New Year! Thanks a lot for this warm welcome here! Enjoy the night and have fun! See you in 2016!

About PokerStars domination:

I found data about traffic on some more popular Poker sites, here it is:

Poker Stars Current traffic - 13,860  Seven day average - 20,500

and then we have real abyss:

888 Poker   Current traffic - 1,796   Seven day average - 2,600
Titan Poker Current traffic - 1,006   Seven day average - 2,200
Party Poke  Current traffic - 785     Seven day average - 1,600

According to this traffic stats Pokerstars domination is overwhelming...

Yeah from pokerscout right, i just took a look and there dominance has increased over the years its scary.  There is no way to break this monopoly until something changes in some other area like technology or something completely different.

WPN is a bitcoin site? im not sure atm, anyway good to see some competition to pokerstars.

I finally SNGed all my VPP/starscoins points after late last night so ive quit forever. I do have 1 satalite to play though, then im done.

I am not 100% sure if all WPN skins allow Bitcoins, but Americas Cardroom & BlackChipPoker for sure.

Thats very cool i see they having growing numbers, what we need is bitcoin games in bitcoin im guessing they cant do that if other sites on the network have fiat.

You can filter for the price to see all the free content, but you have to register first.

Your website is great and I'm going to try it out. But a small estethic issue I had, when I press register, there are two scrollbars. I tried for a minute or two to scroll down before I realized that, maybe you can make the registration frame move with the page on the same scrollbar? Cheers.

Thanks for your feedback. I will forward it to the IT guys.

WPN is definitely worth a try. Their VIP system is an exact PokerStars copy. You can choose between the VIP system or a 27% flat rakeback deal. VIP system is even calculated on the "dealt rake" method. Software is really nice, they have a nice rake race for SNG players/cash game players and traffic is good too at US peak times. My guess is there will be a huge traffic boost in the near future.

I play there myself (Americas Cardroom) for 3 month now and I really like it.

Glad to hear you're accepting Bitcoin.

As for video content and quality, I think i'll wait a bit more before viewing any.

I'm not sure how much you guys review your videos, but the first video I opened was Kuhn89's PLO video.  Right away he flatted a 3-bet out of the small blind with UTG raiser still to act with AKT2 (Huh?).  There wasn't really any strategic information contained in the video either from what I watched.  He talked about position slightly (which countered his very first hand) and bankroll management (while still choosing to run it twice).

I just think these are the type of videos that are counter productive to actually learning proper strategy and playing optimally.

I have only just found this because you bumped it. It will be worth investing if you are really into poker and want to keep improving which will of course can result in your long term profit.

I will take a look after this post but if it is anything like Poker-strategy which I think it might be then there will be sections you can learn for free like a bronze level. Plus gives you advice on best rake back deals.

So if your serious about poker go take a look. I will be.

PokerStars, the biggest online casino on the market, drastically worsened their VIP system for 2016!

Your hard earned VIP status will be worth 30% less in the next year. This will mean:

  • You cannot beat your limit including rakeback anymore (hit the hardest: Zoom Omaha, SNG, Hypers, CAP, Spin&Go, Zoom NL)
  • Your games get flooded by regs forced to move from other stakes and games
  • Your existence as a poker pro is in serious danger

Many players are angry and frustrated about these changes. Don't be! We respect your status and have the alternative! Check out our offer and let us know if you have any questions! And even if you are just a beginner and not sure where you want to start playing poker, get in touch with us and let us help you to find a good place to start at! -> /1YUvlSd]http://[Suspicious link removed]/1YUvlSd

yeah this new VIP system is what all grinders are talking about atm , it's really bad for all real grinders
Gripsed said that people should buy tournament tickets with the points so quick , cause there will be missed value in 2016
I really hope pokermarket and other sites will start promoting other sites more , Pokerstars should never be dominating the market anymore

Yes, we are promoting other sites more and try to show the players that there are alternatives to Stars, but it is really hard. The software and traffic is amazing (24/7) and most people are afraid to play on other sites, but it's worth it. Sites like PartyPoker, 888 and Mircogaming (Betsafe/Betsson/Triobet) are highly attractiv. The player pool is softer, you earn up to 55% rakeback from the first hand and the traffic is okay too. Especially Mircogaming is worth a look, because they drastically lowerd the rake cap for micro/low stakes.

What's the best way to navigate your site for a newcomer?  If I am understanding it correctly the videos are for sale and it is probably organized better than Youtube where you can find many videos for free?  Thank you.  Definitely like the look and feel of the site.

Yes, the videos are for sale, but you can definitely start playing poker without buying videos on our site. You find a lot of usefull stuff in the forum, some great discussions and articles, which help you to get better and avoid the common mistakes. Did you ever play poker or are you completly new to the game?

Gripsed is a pretty straight up dude too.  He's a regular and really does know what he's talking about.  He's developed a ton of free youtube instructional poker videos.  He's been around for awhile.

Do this "tips" work for online poker games or table one's? As far as I'm aware, there can't be any strategies used when you're playing against the computer which has high possibility of distributing even cards.Of course we can always use our brains to manage the money but certainly can't change your luck.

What besides bitcoin is your unique selling point? I've used pokerstrategy as my source for poker training since ages and started treating it as my golden standard coaching website.

How many articles and coaching videos do you provide? Any memberships opportunities or is it mainly pay per article/video?

First of all, thanks to all of you for your interest! Smiley

As yahoo62278 already mentioned, our community is a little small right now, but we are still a startup and the site is growing day by day. Many former pokerstrategy users (strong players, coaches, bloggers) have already joined PokerMarket and everyone of them is helping to build an awesome place for everyone who is interessted in poker.

Right now we have 138 videos online and you can check them here: https://pokermarket.com/marketplace.php#/list/videos

At the moment there is no membership option and it is just "pay per view" model. Of course you can't compare an over 10 year old business like Pokerstrategy with a young startup, but we work very hard to become a really good place for every poker enthusiast, and maybe someday PokerMarket will be THE place. Wink

Best Regards,
PokerMarket Chris

I visited the site earlier tonight and the community seems a little small right now but i think with this post theyre trying to change that. You do earn tokens for signing up on the site which in turn you can use for videos. It might be worth it if you play poker to check it out. They also seem to have a few coaches on the site

arent you afraid that the person who buys it might easily record the whole video you will stream or show or just make a copy of the book and then share it? im pretty sure then it would be really hard for you to make any decent profit from this

Hi fravia,

unfortunately there is not much we can do against people like this. We don't like it and we are aware of this problem, but it is really hard to fight against it. Look at tv shows, movies, apps, music etc. There is almost nothing you can't find on the internet. We just hope (and also believe) that most of the poker players appreciate our and the producers hard work and decide to pay for this, instead of stealing it.

Best Regards,
