A few short months after xAI founder Elon Musk announced the creation of Grok, a ‘Rebellions’ AI with few guardrails, political experts on both sides of the aisle are raising fears that future updates of the tech could lead to a surge in false information surrounding the political chasm that already exists.

The AI model, called Grok (a name that means “to understand” in tech circles), “is designed to answer questions with a bit of wit and has a rebellious streak, so please don’t use it if you hate humor!” reads an announcement on the company’s website. “It will also answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems.”

The announcement does not explain what a “spicy” or “rebellious” means, but most commercial AI models will refuse to generate sexually explicit, violent, or illegal content, and they are designed to avoid expressing biases picked up from their training data.

Why the fear?

First of all, experts warn that without such guardrails, the worry is that an AI model could help terrorists develop a bomb or could result in products that discriminate against users based on characteristics such as race, gender, or age.  The fears within political circles are far different.

Experts within political circles on both sides of the aisle fear that Americans looking for reliable information on the candidates for presidency may take the answers that “Grok” or “GTrok” give to be fact, when in reality, could be parody or humorous in nature.

When asking the AI itself what the new updates of its technology will include, Grok details a button that will be placed on it’s newest upgrade dubbed “GTrok” labeled “Grok Analysis”, which apparently will analyze and explain whole thread discussions, producing continued fears that voters could take that analysis as factual answers to their political questions, rather than just a summary of a discussion within a social platform.

How do we protect ourselves?

The reality is that there is probably not a way to protect ourselves from the fears surrounding this controversial subject.  However, experts say there may be a way to benefit monetarily, no matter which side of the aisle.

With Elon Musk recently tweeting out a picture of a golden troll wearing a necklace with the word GTROK engraved on it, cryptocurrency experts are suggesting that this new shift in name could also signal a monetary shift within the crypto narrative from the “Grok” token to the newly minted name “GTROK” hinted at by Elon Musk himself.

Within minutes of Musk’s tweet of GTROK, new crypto tokens were popping up bearing its name.  One stood out from the rest, not only with the burning of it’s liquidity pool and 0/0 tax structure, but the fact that the token contract itself is renounced, making this a truly safe community backed project.

In other words… buy now or cry later.
