Wealth is not what US politicians need. They have plenty of funny money already, their criminal pals are printing it by the bushel. No, what they need is a good example.

There are a lot of limitations to these contributions. First of all, the contributors should self-identify, which itself is a gigantic drawback. People use Bitcoins to anonymize their donations. If they have to identify themselves, then what is the use in going through the Bitcoins? Also, there is a limit of $100 for Bitcoin donations for every contributor.

Yes, they can take the money while never knowing "who" the source is.  Will they be labeled as anarchists or subversives?  No.

The law requires that you provide your name, occupation, etc...just like with a regular donation.

Great, now I can pay politicians in bitcoins so that they can come up with new regulations on bitcoin and waste my money further..

Even though the limit per person/per donation is pegged at $100, it won't be long til a court rules that that doesn't jive w/ campaign finance laws. Then, going forward we'll be able to donate the max ($5200=primary and general total).  Unfortunately, those Americans that are heavy on fiat, t-bonds and some stocks will be left holding the bag as us cryptoheads exit the debt machine. On one hand, I'd like to donate BTC only to peeps like Rand Paul, Justin Amash, Thomas Massie and a few other politicians that believe in actually slashing spending, protecting liberties and restraining the military-police-industrial complex as well as prospective candidates for federal offices that are of like mind. Of course, it's the establishment that has thrown us the bone here so perhaps this camp just wants to move into the establishment at the expense of everyone else. Undecided

The revolution will be monetized!
Ha..if we donate enough to them in BTC, they will NEVER ban it.

Ding - ding - ding!
That's my plan.  Cool
It is also why pot is becoming legal in some states. They are getting in on the drug profits.

Of course they are going to accept it, I'm surprised because of the level of anonymity it offers that they didn't come out and say this a few years ago.
